  • The biggest threat to the USA

Without question the biggest threat to the average Yank these days is that crappy network run by some obnoxious old aussie fellow with a grudge and a lot of cash..... they are scaring NASCAR fans and trailer-park-dwellers  in the Red States from coast-to-coast, rattling off inacuracies and bullshit each and every hour with their talking head moronic blonde bimbos, whose skirts are hiked up just a littttttttle further than all the other networks; better to hook in the testosterone-fueled morons they preach to every day.

These guys are pure evil, there is no other way to put it ..... they endorsed President Cheney and that jug-eared buffoon from Texas for 8 years despite the way they ran this country into the ground and now they won't even give Obama a shot, while all the yahoo's in the states which normal people {read, east and west coast} don't give a flying fuck about sit back in their double-wides with their Bud can shouting "you go Sean Hannity, you're the MAN".  The same people who watch this vile crap also watch O'Reilly  and listen to Rush Limbaugh, 2 more disgusting far right-wing individuals who are doing more harm to this country than good.

4 or 5 years ago they did it with the ''Terror Threat alerts'', that stupid color-coded system to tell us how scared we all should be, and all the rednecks and assholes from places like kentucky and nebraska ate that shit right up ..... now it's time to pile on Obama, shoot down all his idea's and not even give him a shot and the same sub-100- IQ morons are sitting back saying "yups Billy-bob,  FOX told us back in september that this n***er would be no good for us, and as usual they were right!"

Fucking fair and balanced my ass...... if I ever land on that station by accident again I swear the TV gets tossed out the window.

Fox news can be seen by anyone sensible for the joke that it is - it's all the other media that Rupert Murdoch controls and uses to channel his devisive propaganda that worries me.

I regard him as the biggest threat to any decent mature system of government - of whatever ilk.
Why? He has only one purpose - to satisfy his own ends.

The sooner the bastard dies the better for the whole world!

Now that is one Wanker that i would like to see in Hell, hopefully with a very hot iron rod stuffed up his arse so that the bastard has to walk around on his hands and knees, and the only thing he will be able to look at are the cocks and pussies on every one else.

(Road Runner @ Mar. 17 2009,00:26) Fox news can be seen by anyone sensible for the joke that it is
True, but now his boys are lining up to take control also and no one really believes they are going to be any better.

Murdoch and News Corp in general are pure evil personified, I am telling ya ......  thank GOD his newspapers are dying out but then again ALL newspapers are right now.  FOX is the main star in his line-up now, and with Roger Ailes as the wizard of Oz behind the curtain pulling the strings for buffoons like Oreilly and Hannity  the right-wing bias and bullshit ain't going away anytime soon.

FOX news ''analysts'' include KARL ROVE fer crissakes, [remember, ''Bush's Brain'', since he certainly doesn't have one of his own} Newt Gingrich, Bernie Goldberg, Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham, fucking  ANN COULTER {who I swear is an ugly drag queen under all that CVS-brand make-up}, Juan Williams and a dozen other right-wing loonies...... they even have Geraldo, the laughing stock of all network news, and even Mike Huckabee has his own show now......yes, the ex-rebublican candidate has his own religious-values show now, which would be fucking hilarious if it wasn't so dangerous......he has people nodding their heads in agreement when he says the earth is 5000 years old because "the bible tells us so"!!  Fuck, I have rocks in my own backyard which are a billion years old.  And why not have a show on with James Carville or an ex-Democrat candidate like Chris Dodd to counter all this far right luncay?

Grrrrrrrr.......  see RR,  you know that FOX is shite, *I* know Fox is shite, and anyone on east coast america and west coast america knows they make absolutely zero sense there....... but their ratings are always through the roof because the moronic fools in between watch it and believe that drivel!!

which, again, is why they are the worst thing to happen to this country right now.......by far

The greatest threat to America and Americans right now is the collection of dinosaurs running the country.

Specifically the sour grapes bunch known as 'the republicans' who refuse to allow any progress on the economy unless they are the ones calling the shots.

So called (and much ballyhooed) 'Change' in the USA is pretty much impossible until there is a clear political and economic direction and as usual... there is nothing to indicate that there is.

The Fox News TV channel only provides a showcase for political and commercial expediency and isn't really a danger to anyone. If it was then the Republicans would still be in office, right?

All their idiotic warblings and middle aged, blonde, massive mouthed, fake blond, bimbo presenters couldn't overcome the plain fact that the Republican party was a child out of it's depth in a big mans world. I mean... Sarah Palin? This must go down as one of the most significant and suicidal political gaffs of the century so far!

I watch it non stop in Pattaya because they don't have those stupid 5 minute gaps of silence and scrolling weather graphics showing the temperature in both Cs AND Fs in fucking Istanbul or some such shit hole that nobody cares about... and Red Eye makes me giggle!

Fox is about as dangerous as rap music. It appeals to morons who don't matter anyway.

(Stogie @ Mar. 17 2009,00:43) It appeals to morons who don't matter anyway.
the only reason they matter is because they VOTE

of course most fair-minded people would see this network for what it is, but see....... many of the people in this country are NOT fair-minded.    It's now FOX's mission to unseat Obama in 4 years and even better [and quicker], to try and get back control of the senate and the congress at the mid-terms.

True, the Repubs are in turmoil right now,  thank GOD for that ....   I mean fuck, if the leader of your party is some 300 pound slob who spouts off his drivel on the radio for 3 hours per day, us moderates still have a chance at a normal life here. And yes, I am a moderate, not some left-wing crazy.....they are just as bad as the right-wing nuts  IMO.

We are in great shape when the leaders from the right are now; Rush Limbaugh, Sarah fucking Palin  LOLOLOL,  the inneffective and scared-of- Rush Michael Steele, Bobby Jindal and the pretty boy mormon from Massachusetts, Mitt Romney.   But I'm telling ya' man,  a lit of nitwits watch that station and for good or bad FOX has the power to steer elections ..... they didn't in 2008 because people had had ENOUGH of Cheney  and our economy was in the crapper and we are in 2 wars we can't get out of, but that could change in 2010 and 2012.

Trust me I am praying it doesn't, but from where I sit these fools are trying to get my country back to that school of thought with the Gingriches and the Limbaughs of the world and that scares the fuck out of me.

can't wait for my buddies Blue Ballz and Lefty to weigh in on this one!!

Interesting quote at the end of the film "Platoon"

We were not fighting the Vietnamese - we were fighting ourselves.

In all wars the key to success is the 'belief' in what you are fighting for.

What worries me now is the US situation. For 30 + years their economy has been built on consumerism. A wasteful and disposable society. I have never seen any other country that advertises the 2009 model of a car in 2008 - as an example.

So the real threat to the USA is their own consumerism. That leads to borrowing beyond sustainability etc.

AIG execs still want bonuses for failing - another problem.
Like children they EXPECT to get the bonus no matter that they lost money. If it was your own business and you were losing money would you pay yourself a bonus?

So the US are their own worst enemy economically.

The biggest Carbon footprint of any nation - but lecture the rest of the world on their detrimental contribution.

Introspective attitude - ask a US citizen when WW11 started? The actual WW11 start date for Europe was 3 years earlier.

Why has the US entered any war?

Now for a trivial pursuit question?

3 Empires have had the Spread Eagle as their standard/emblem - name them?

(rossco @ Mar. 17 2009,01:04) 3 Empires have had the Spread Eagle as their standard/emblem - name them?
Roman Empire, Nazi Germany and the US.

(had to google the first one, been a while since university)

But don't forget the Romans gave us western Civilization as we know it. Not such a bad thing.

Jai Dee this is just republican pay back for the percieved lack of support the media gave Bush. Your mistake was being sucked in by their tricks. It's like the village idiot on his soap box with an "end of the world is neigh" board. You try hard to ignore him but can't help but listen in to have a laugh at someone else's expense.

Geezer - top of the class!

                          So analyse the two first:
Roman Empire - how did it fail? Imperialism/lethargy/logistics
Nazi 3rd Reich - pretty much the same
USA - watch the next episode.....

RoadRunner - brilliant revelation. What is scary is that people buy his toilet paper and believe what is written upon it. In the old days an editor would publish the story to expose the bad ass people.

Now the editors are in fear of their own jobs as the media is controlled by the influential few - see a movie called "Bordertown".

Roman state lasted 800 years - not bad going at all

really don't think the specious comparison with US (which I've been hearing for years now) is relevant but I guess it makes good copy

". . . of course most fair-minded people would see this network for what it is, but see....... many of the people in this country are NOT fair-minded."

                              You are exactly right JaiDee.
Unfortunately, this country this country is populated by some serious mouth-breathing dumb-fucks, and it's not just the NASCAR Billy Bobs in their double-wides, these mongoloids are everywhere. They lack any capacity to recognize biased rhetoric and manipulation for what it is.
Fuax "News" and that fat, junkie, windbag are effective because a large percentage of Americans believe every word they say.
I think it was P.T. Barnum who said, "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people."
