Sorry I was a little late in getting back to you OA.

FYI the Blue Nile is my favourite band of all time but it has nothing to do with my 'Scottishness' - I just like what I like!

Mind you, IMHO the best voice of all time is Mr Billy McKenzie and he just happens to be a Scot... so maybe I am slightly biased.

Music is my first love and it will be my last (thank you John Miles) and I adore great singers from Lena Zavaroni to Barry Manilow via Ian Curtis. I am not a music snob nor a music bore but, by Christ, there is some great stuff out there...

And Mr Turpin, if you don't know Billy Mac, have a listen (Ok, Ok, I know it's not Tammy Terrell and Marvin Gaye but nothin here has been about those two for ages).

I so enjoyed a lively weekend with you guys on this thread about a month ago, then the wife came home
No that's not the reason...big work days have stopped me spending more than a few minutes every day on the board.
But tonight I'm in Korat and tomorrow at guess Bar and???
before a week in LB free Dubai.
Just wanted to say hanks to Orgasmaddict, Jim, Naa faang, Grinder and other regulars that have brought back so many great memories and also introduced new sounds to me, thanks Jim for Duffy I now have Rockferry and like it a lot, I know Ben don't think it's soul and maybe I understand where he's coming from, but there is the spirit of Northern Soul in many of her songs, distant Dreamer is certainly in the genre.
