Never saw Marvin live with or without his partners, but one of the most exiting male/female acts I did see (and this may interest orgasmaddict) were Ike & Tina at The Wheel. Superb night, eight piece band and the three Ikettes all cramed onto the little stage. The Ikettes featured P.P.Arnold then. Saw them again the next night at Pete Stringfellows Mojo club in Shefield. Not exactly norther soul but one of my all time favourites from those days would have to be Ben E King, a real class act. And yes whenever i review my top fifty albums each xmas "What's Going On" is still right up there.

Just a couple of times mate, I was a Twisted Wheel, King Mojo punter. In those days/places the music was more varied and I have to admit I didn't rate the majority of music played at the Casino or The Highland room for that matter, too much 100 mile an hour stuff for me,(it's the age mate) and not enough Soul. But hey each to there own. Whatever, not sure if your a resident or regular visitor but it would be great to meet and chew the cud over a or three. Keep the faith
