I was not going to worry but since you called me a toss pot whatever that is. How many medals did England win at the last Olympics? What about the commonwealth games?

Australia 3rd in the number of gold medals per million of population at the Athens Olympics. Where where the UK 28th

Your country has 3 times as many people as Australia but yet you get excited about winning a game of rugby. Hope you find more to celebrate in future.

I see the tradition of losing gracefully is still alive and well

Don't you mean winning gracefully but I suppose when you don't win anything that often you should celebrate every chance you get!

Can't begin to enunciate how disappointed I was with our efforts. England were far far better and brought nothing more to the game than a world class scrum and total commitment. That we weren't good enough (motivated enough?) to beat that tells a sad story about the state of our rugby.

I hope England do well (I have lots of English mates) from here but I can't see how they get past the AB's.

But a week of psychological warfare ensured another epic battle between two fierce sporting rivals.

Australian Rugby Union chief executive John O'Neill started it by saying Australians "hated" the English. Coach John Connolly added to it by announcing he'd asked the referees to closely monitor England hooker Mark Regan to ensure he didn't cheat.

Connolly predicted niggle, and England delivered it.

But Connolly asked his team not to react. They did, delivering scoring chances to England ace Wilkinson.

                              Who's smirking now O'neill
