Actually the visit to Starbucks didn 't take place until a few months later. There was a point were he swore me to secrecy regarding the existence of a signed agreement documenting his purchase of the bar from the Frenchman.
Months later the existance of document was denied by the Frenchman.
At that time he was trying to sell his remaining "ownership" in 131. When that went nowhere, our friend resorted to threats to sell to a thai. BTW, this last ploy was pulled while the taxi was waiting outside to take to BKK. That day in September would be the last time I laid eyes on "good, old, poor Franck".
