Right upfront I have to make it very clear that I am neither looking for them nor do I want to be pointed that way but earlier tonight it almost happened to me.
I went out for a walk and ran into a fairly cute lb on Beach Road who told me that her name was Nicky - not the famous Nicky although there was a bit of a resemblance. Her E wasn't too good but I was willing to take her short time. She pointed to some room which might have been in Soi Yamoto but I prefer my own turf. Then she obviously thought that I was staying at some hotel (I actually stay at a serviced apartment) and she said that she was only 17. That is when I backed out, she freaked a bit but I said sorry, I could not go with her if she was only 17.
I also have to say that she did not look particularly young, she could have easily passed for 18 or older.
Later I met a friend who told me about scams they run - perhaps not her - but certain underage boys and lbs in particular - they call the police from yr room and upon arrival. In order to get out of the mess this might cost you 100K Baht of which half goes to the cops and half to the lb. Not a bad biz for either, very bad biz 4 the customer of course.
I know that some will say "Stay away from BR" but that is not the issue here. I heard rumors that one popular girl in a popular LB-bar is only 17 - rumors as I say.
The point is that covering all yr bases can be quite difficult when hunting. I later met another one who def looked underage and wanted to make a test. I asked her for her age and she said 18 but could not produce any ID.

By the way this guy was no angel - but he was set up with this situation - like many places in the world its an almost impossible situation to buy your way out. 
) and use a hotel that will check. Not much you can do with fake (or borrowed) ID cards, unless the hotel spots it.
