Right, €˜nice€™ little update for ya all re. tonight€™s visit to C&D

Got there just past midnight and sat down at the bar as usual, got my drink and got one for Titi as well (sweet girl by the way, just not my type though).

Oh invited me to play pool with her and I happily accepted, not before buying her a drink as well. As I spotted Nick (the co-owner) sitting at the other bar (the one next to Soi Tiger) I waved at him as I hadn€™t seen him since my first night in C&D (he usually leaves by 11pm, so he told me then).

As Nick didn€™t seem to recognise me when I waved at him, I went over to say hello. That€™s when he pointed out at the sign that reads €œThis is a bar, not a brothel€. I thought he was joking and said to him €œWhy are you telling me this stuff? I know this is a bar and that€™s where I€™ve been drinking every night since my arrival in Phuket€. He didn€™t seem to accept what I said and kept pointing to that flippin sign and reading out the message for me. I pointed out to him (still very calmly) that every night I have come to his bar and €“ besides barfining one lady each night €“ I have been been buying drinks not only for myself, but for a number of girls as well and I€™m sure that the girls in question could vouch for that.

Now I know I ain€™t perfect (my ex wife can DEFINITELY vouch for that) but one accusation I won€™t take easily is of being a cheap Charlie, particularly as it€™s incredibly unfair. When I said this to Nick, he said €œI must have been misinformed by my staff then€ and made what seemed to me a half-hearted apology.

Ivor Biggun (who had by now arrived in C&D) informed me that Nick had had a more than a few. Well, fine, fair enough, but why does he have to take it out on me? I don€™t think that many businesses can survive if/when they antagonise their customers, right? Whether Nick€™s apology was sincere or not, I couldn€™t care less. All I know is that my mood was thoroughly spoilt by then. I know that I am not the best customer that C&D ever had but nonetheless I think that I€™m a loyal customer (drinking there every night) €“ besides I€™m doing my honest bit to promote their business, by posting pics of their beautiful staff on this forum.

Now if my custom is not welcome, Nick can make it very clear and I will take it somewhere else. They will survive without me and I will survive without them. However I wish that Nick would double-check his facts very carefully before pissing people off.

PS. Sorry guys... no pics tonight. I didn€™t take any as I wasn€™t in the best of moods by then.

PPS. Ivor.... sincere apologies to you as well. Usually I€™m not a grumpy bastard but that incident really spoilt my night.

Tally - from what i've seen and read, both on this thread AND on your TR, you sound like the ideal customer. I'm sure Nick will have mistaken you for somebody else. That surprises me though, as he's usually better than me at remembering names and faces.
Anyway, we'll see you alright tonight. Forgive me if i'm not in bang on time, as i have to do the Loy Kratong thing, on the beach with Mrs Jimbo. But please come over and introduce yourself when i get there, if you're not already back in the "loom".
