desperation...


We would all feel exploited if our employers halved our pay just because
there was little chance of us finding another job..It may be little information
but it is enough and very revealing about a person when they crow about.
Sure you'd have food in you stomach for a while but you'd certainly have
less than thankful thoughts towards your employer..maybe?

I have read this thread with some interest mainly because the initiator was one of the main reasons I joined ATS and by default this forum some years back - so I retain a more than passing interest in someone who was in my opinion one of the most beautiful ladyboys of all time.

The discussion as it has gone forward seems to be more around how the differing cultures of East and West behave. To be honest other than the differing market rates which are a fact of life wherever you go, I have found that throughout the world people do what they do to earn a crust for a variety of reasons and that at bottom its individuals that make the difference.

To assume that a Thai will see things differently just because they are Thai is to ignore the strength of the individual and the views that they will have developed over the course of their life.

My own view - which you can call the precepts of Harley Quinn (collection in used notes only) if you like are simple:

If you pay for any goods or service you shuld pay the rate and if you get excellent service then tip accordingly.

If you move away from payment and do it for love then you should remain true to your promise

If you betray your promises then your children will grow up to support Everton - and Naang Faa at least will know how dire that curse is!

Ok, now I did say that. So what? My point was there are dozens upon dozens of lbs here offering 500 baht STs, so because of that, there is no need to pay more. 500 baht for an hour or so work isn't bad by Thai standards. What do YOU suggest we do, when one of the many offer us a 500 baht ST? Should we refuse and tell them we want to pay more?

That does not mean I never pay more than 500. You said that earlier. It is not true. One thing that IS true...It is none of your business what any of us pay. As long as the lb we make the deal with is happy with the amount, that's what matters. I know at least one guy who probably averages under 500 per encounter and he has them calling him!

As for crowing about it, get real for pete's sake. All I was attempting to do was let some of the guys know that are new to the Pattaya scene what they should expect to pay. This is basically a site for guys who look to travel to SE Asia for sexual encounters with lb bar girls. It is not primarily a site for some holier than thou types to look down their noses at punters traveling to SE Asia and calling them cheap exploitative bastards because some may not pay what YOU consider a fair price.

If an LB goes beyond the point where she should have stopped, draining a guy empty or even pushing the guy to go into debt (like the AE guy from another thread), then she really behaves badly in my eyes.

It is not just a scam, it is an emotional and financial assassination.

I have no respect whatsoever for such a person, regardless of the motives behind.
Even if her mother needs urgently money for curing a life threatening condition, she shouldn't ruin the life of another person.
In this situation she could vow to give it back later, but not leave the poor guy without anything.


And I got even less respect for an LB that has already covered most future needs, got house & pickup for family and for herself, 2 or 3 sponsors... AND she goes after the money of some other guys and sucks them dry to the bone...
They could be run over by a truck, I wouldn't care. Karmic retribution.
