I just read thru the entire 10 pages of this thread, and I must say that it needs to be posted with a big "Read This Before Your First Trip" right at the top of this forum, especially the first 5 pages or so. A lot of food for thought, and cautionary tales to make one remember the difficulties one faces in a relationship with any transgendered person, let alone one from a different cultural heritage.

My first relationship with a TS was in college with a girl who had been on hormones since before puberty and was so passable she payed her way thru SMU by dancing at the top strip club in Dallas at the time and no one ever knowing her secret (She spoiled me rotten for other TS for years to come). My only marriage was to a Japanese woman who was raised in a very traditional family, and whose father never spoke to me the entire time we were married.

Both relationships ended semi-happily, and I am still in contact with both of them, but they did end. To face the challenges of a transgendered relationship with a cultural so different from the West as Thailand or Japan thrown in on top, it would be damn near impossible to make it work. I am jealous as hell of those of you who have made it happen, but sadly I think it is the exception, not the rule.

As someone getting ready to spend two weeks in Pattaya over New Years, it was nice to have some cold water splashed in my face. Thanks to everyone for their excellent posts, really enjoyed reading your thoughts.

Seems the subject of how much to pay always gets combatitive.

There are guys who know the score who intentionally overpay; they have their reasons and it doesn't "ruin" things for everyone else.

I also know guys who get 100 baht blowjobs and the girls want repeats at the same price.  Two consenting adults doing what they enjoy.

If internet created "superstars" can get upwards of 3K baht, good for them.

And if other girls would rather have a 300 baht session instead of working all day long in a 7/11 (or in addition to working in a 7/11) that's their choice.

If you pay what you think is fair everyone will probably be happy.

I have been here for a while and i have got to know a few of the people out there even chompoo.

What works for you does not work for me, what you consider a rip off i might not.

But in all honesty the point of asian culture v western culture does not come into the equation, what comes across in my experience is do you want to be a target and what point do you cry foul. FFS i have so many shares in Issan land and probably have more cattle than a large texas ranch because i have good heart. But i know at the end of the day i have helped and when i feel the point has been reached i say ok now stop.

Whether they like me or hate me they can never say i cheated them as i always let them tell me what they think is a fair price for their time.

Well for one thing, I don't "prey" on anyone. If a lb, or gg, whomever, approaches me, or any one of dozens of guys in a similar situation, and offers me, or anyone else, a 500 baht ST, and I accept, how is that preying on or taking advantage of them? You said I didn't answer questions, well you don't always either. Do you think if a lb offers a 500 baht ST, we should refuse and insist she raise her price before we accept? If not, then what do you suggest?

Does that make me a good person? Not merely for that reason, nor does it make me evil if I say yes. IMO, to accept or turn down a 500 baht ST or whatever offer is exactly made, does not make me good or evil, in of itself.

Someone who makes up lies to attempt a scam, or to scam, me or anyone else, is not a good person. Like Foxxee posted earlier, to intentionally lie violates one of the tenants of Buddhism. So, in MY opinion, a Buddhist who willfully goes against one of the 5 basic tenants of Buddhism is not a good person. Then again they may not be the worst person around, but just by the mere act of willfully lying, that person would not be a good Buddhist. However, lying alone would not necessarily make them an intrinsically evil or barbarous person either of course.


Now, you oh wiser than anyone else here, may have a different opinion.
