Thais raise prices is High Season when there are many Farang, they then raise prices in low season when there are not many Farang.

Whats there to not understand ?

as far as high and low season goes,in other areas,like hotel for example,ive found in the past that my hotel will very often do good discounts and i end up getting 2 nights free out of 10 days........ effectively. when the trade is low this they know to be good business because the ploy is to persuade me to stay longer and come back again, and on occasions they have succeded...........I END UP SPENDING MORE MONEY ALL ROUND IN A RESORT.
being a regular user of some hotels helps as you can get to know the managers and they you,its good all round.

the p4p workers area can have different mindset to real businesses. as ive said before the average empty head p4p worker is ill educated and lacking in patience and foresight.......they need to think shorterm.

so keep the issue of p4p and other areas of cost while in LOS as separate issues............as they do not follow the same economics.

as ive said before......i believe anyway...if your not happy with what some girls want or the way they behave..........walk away theres more around the corner.............

abba. My source (actually he's the Fruit&Veg aisle manager) informs me that there's a shipment coming in from Goa some time overnight.
The wholesale price quoted on the Mumbai Eggplant Futures Exchange (MEFE) was around 16THB per pound as of 4pm Thai time. The Thai retail price will thereafter depend on shipping costs and retail markups, but it's looking good my friend.

So far no word on the bananas, for those following that other important indicator. Or at least no one's talking. Mmm strange..  


Oh, and check the oil and tyre pressure on the Roller. You might have to make a quick run

This has been anticipated:

Couriers have been dispatched, to grease the palms, in advance, of the BIB and various detachments of Highway Police.
(Police chiefs have already requested a cut of the windfalls. They are aware of my nickname, Khun V.O.E.W.M. (Vulture of Eggplant World Market).

Electric Ladyboyland, please be aware of that there are some new "known unknowns", that are expected to impact the exchanges. I expect to get back to you in that regard, when more of the "unknown" has been displaced by "known".

I understand. I won't go into details here, but I think you already know that the MEFE may soon be relocated somewhere closer to the center of our concerns  

This will have its own impact.

I am still waiting for news on the banana front as I know they are of more interest to certain members here.

Unfortunately a group of bankers has mixed rotten bananas and eggplants in with the good ones and sold them on in prepackaged bundles on the assumption it reduces the risk of buying rotten ones. The result is no one is buying eggplants or bananas and the whole industry has gone bust, so now no one can buy them at any price. Maybe we should get some P4P ladyboys to run our banking industry. At least they'd know about bananas.
