There seems to be a tendency on the part of a some around here to call anyone who questions the prices, methods, or practices of these hookers a cheap charlie/fuck  

Of course there are cheap fucks around, but let's not get all PC about it just cos the dollar is worth this or the baht is worth that.

Get some perspective as Looker rightly reminds us and realise that some of these workers are taking the piss whenever and wherever they can. To argue that 1000 baht to us is not much is a fair point but only goes so far. It shouldn't extend to subsidising or condoning certain behaviour out of some misplaced sense of guilt. What they earn in Thailand they spend in Thailand. So any economic comparisons/disparities between Thailand and the West work both ways.

as KAHUNA said the thai way of economics is foreign to us,but its often the way they behave,my answer to that tho is when a girl tells you that its 600 barfine and can you buy her and friends ladydrink.......oh and now it 3000 baht ST(for starters)sometimes rising after the date)........oh and then tip oh.... and then...............ive lost interest and i say so to em and tell em why on occasions and i go elsewhere where the air is not so full of bullshite and "transaction like".........not allways,but perhaps if more guys were more assertive in such ways then the attitudes might change. and get back to the "up to you feeling" that was good,created good feeling and they probably got the same as what they push for now because of it................fuck knows mayby im wrong........im sure someone will say so

In the old days in London when you picked up a hooker in the marketplace you would then follow her to her flat. Many guys would become impatient and ask every street.."How much farther?...How much farther?" Then in your theory's hotel room rates should be going up in low season, when there are less tourists around. And should be dropped in high season when more tourists are around............... I don't think so!

The room rates are up in high season when there is the most tourists, 'The quick Killing' to cover the costs of low season ....... just like I said.

The credit crunch didn't stop some P4P's asking for 2000/4000/6000 for ST/LT, last year, the year before that, or two or three years ago.......... like I said its up to the man who pays the buck's.
