How To Treat a Ladyboy - Hints and Tips

This is a sticky topic.

Labels are for those weak-minded individuals who have a need to judge others based upon stereotypes. I treat my ladyboy friends as I do any of my other friends....with respect for their individuality. I treat them first and foremost as human beings...as I do anyone else. Endless threads and posts concerned with labels and stereotypes like "gay" are for those people who cannot accept what they see in the mirror every day. Life and happiness are a journey....not a destination...enjoy it!

(f0xxee @ Jan. 10 2009,13:58) Hey Big Mick,
I will be back in VN around the 30th, offshore at present... are you still considering a visit? If so I have a Missus from Pattaya who would like to come over, and it would ease her into VN life if she had a blonde pixie friend...
Failing that, I will be back in LOS (was planning on Phuket until reading of the Lela tragedy) around the end of the fist week of Feb. Hope you are around.
Cheers,
JF
I'll pm you when we have a planNo honey, no money!!

(paultain @ Jan. 10 2009,09:34) I could have sworn this thread was about "How to treat a Ladyboy". But now its just bickering about what sexual label you like to be called
I went off on a tanget to illustrate a point and it's devolved into a cat-fight.
Look guys, I was just comparing my preference for the label "straight" to a ladyboy's preference for the label "female" or "she".
And I was saying that as a matter of common courtesy, we should LEAVE THE PEDANTIC BITCHING at home and just enjoy ourselves with that person, rather than lecturing/educating/scarcastically-reminding her about "reality".
YOU may think that the label "straight" is inaccurate in my case, but that's your opinion and I'm entitled to my own as well. Endlessly debating and bitching about it doesn't make you right or correct, it just makes you an ass.
All I'm saying is that a lot of newbies make the mistake of getting off on the whole "I'm fucking a boy" thing, and they forget that maybe the ladyboy they are with doesn't share that same fetish.
We don't need to endlessly debate the line between "gay/straight" here. The thread topic is "How to treat a ladyboy" and if you want to have a hissy fit like a bunch of drama-queen fags, go bump one of the MANY "gay vs. straight" threads and do it there.
Its my fault for stupidly using that as an example (I still think it's a valid one although it appears some people can't see the comparison without clouding the whole issue with extraneous bullshit), but enough already.

What makes you think "...that a lot of newbies make the mistake of getting off on the whole 'I'm fucking a boy' thing..." You have empirical data
or is this simply your opinion...
Perhaps many experienced guys get off on the "I'm fucking a boy thing" too...I do...And I have many experienced friends who I suspect do as well...
In my opinion it's not a mistake...And I'm offended that you believe I'm wrong in thinking it...
Perhaps the real mistake is thinking that they are actually girls...
But perhaps you simply need to clarify your point a bit more..."It's not Gay if you beat them up afterwards." --- Anon

No clarification needed...I never said it was wrong... The word "wrong" is your word not mine...
My word is "perhaps"...as in maybe; possibly...
You and Doug and all others can decide for yourself...But please don't tell me that I make the mistake
of viewing them as boys..."It's not Gay if you beat them up afterwards." --- Anon

Looks like you guys are lost... what's all the pedantics got to do with this thread?
While we're all on the subject of "things that have nothing to do with the topic of this thread", I'll share that after the eye-gauging and hissy fits on the board this weekend, my week was immeasurably improved by some morons burglarizing my condo on Monday morning and taking about $10k (US dollars) worth of electronics. 50 inch plasma HD tv - 24 inch Apple iMac computer - digital cameras and camcorders, CD's, bluray DVD player, Sony Playstation 3, etc. They even stole some of my Xmas gifts that I'd not even got around to setting up or putting away! Thankfully, they didn't break anything and my 2 cats both stayed inside despite the backdoor being left open (they have no claws and are defenseless kittens). The biggest bummer was the computer as I had lost my backup hard drive and had NO backup. Oh well. I FREAKED OUT when I found that my suitcase, already packed for LOS, had been ransacked as I thought they'd stolen my passport. WIth only 16 days before the trip I"d have been hard-pressed to find another.... but I then found it discarded in a pile with the clothes and things that were in the suitcase, along with my prescription bottle with Xanax tablets for the trip. Really odd that they left those, they are worth good money on the street as addicts refer to them as "the crack cocaine of benzodiazapans". Anyway, nothing that some time and money can't repair, so I'll be fine. My insurance will hopefully cover a good portion, although I had a $3k deductable and the electronics items were all 1-2 years old so with depreciation I'll be lucky to get back 1/2 of what I paid for it.
But, again - no one hurt, only material losses so all is well and looking forward to the trip.
I've not really responded since the nonsense last week as I've decided to wait until after my 3 weeks in LOS to get into any debates on this board. Then, I can hopefully answer with a modicum of experience under my belt.
P.S. - if that was you that ransacked my place Foxeee, just know that I'll be getting a burglar alarm installed before my expedition.... and where exactly were you between the hours of 7 and 10am on Monday morning?Making newbie mistakes since 2009 so you don't have to

Bloody awful news, very sorry to hear it deepthroat, particularly in the light of your generosity with the CDs. All arrived, thank you & cheers...
Karma will redress the balance for you.......eventually. Let's hope your coming visit makes for the best experience of your life,
and rather than stressing about how you might treat the LBs, I hope they all treat you very well, by way of some sort of compensation. You could use some good times after this disappointment.Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

Thanks much Paccy. Just as an FYI to anyone reading this thread... I was never "stressing about how you might treat the LBs" - the point of this thread was that I believe in treating people the way that they want to be treated if I want to get the best possible results from the experience. Having never been in LOS or dealing with LBs, I had picked up inferences that they can be emotionally and culturally very different from the GG's that I am already very familiar with here in the USA mongering world. So, figuring out how to navigate these uncharted waters without accidentally stepping on toes or invisible minefields was the intent. For example, I was just reading that Thais consider the head to be nearly sacred, so you are not supposed to touch a thai's head. How does that play into mongering? And feet - the thais supposedly consider the feet "unclean" or uncouth or something, so you are NEVER supposed to "point with your feet" or do other things that bring your feet into prominence. Again, how does that factor in normal LB interractions?
That stuff was what I was looking for when I brought up the topic. Thought that having a "newbie guide" to address those sorts of things and many more might be good.
We've obviously strayed from the topic pretty radically at times but all in good fun.
Thanks again, watch for my noobie TR coming soon.
P.S. - just got off the phone with Alaska Airlines. I was able to upgrade my entire trip to First Class (US leg) and Business Class (US to Asia legs) for only 40,000 additional frequent flier miles, and I now get into BKK around noon instead of midnight. Whooooooo HOOOOOOO!Making newbie mistakes since 2009 so you don't have to
