1. receptive (= I get f****d) anal intercourse without condom with a confirmed HIV-positive (sic!) partner €” incidence risk: 0,82% (0,24% €“ 2,76%). In other words: your avarage chance is 1:123 with a spread ranging between 1:417 (best case) to 1:36 (worst case).

2. insertive (= I'm f***ing) anal intercourse without condom with a partner of unknown HIV-status: 0,06% (range 0,02% €“ 0,19%, or in other words: 1:1667, spreading from 1:5000 to 1:526). (Sorry, I didn't find figures for partners with confirmed HIV+ status).

So, that's an scientific estimate based on extensive studies in Europe and the USA. It neither gives green light fucking around bareback like a rabbit on viagra, but it also doesn't imply that bareback is something you should never-ever do, because you're a dead man in this case.

In a nutshell: BB is risky. Everyone knows that. But it is much more risky for the passive part.

Testing in one way is a crock of cow manure. So yo feel safe to accompany a person to the cloinic and see the test performed and it comes out clean, but who did she / he screw 1 hour before you got with them? How will that test comoe out a few months down the road? Only real way is knowing your partner is true only to you after getting a few clean bills of health, but do you or can you reallaay trust most P4P workers and even some spouses and SO's? Heck no its still a crap shoot. So its best to cover it, or participate inlower risk pleasures. I used top shag anyone I felt like without using protection.....but not anymore.
