Not sure that these type of girls that are gagging to do porno shoots are the norm to judge HIV rates...

However that is fucking scary number and is similar to the rate that was found in Phuket through the mobile testing stations they do from time to time.

Both sample bases are not particularly good to use to draw a generalization.

And the question arises with many of the HIV+ girls...
Is the HIV from sex or from the drug use?

If you think of how many BBBJ and bareback sex occurs in Thailand every night... you'd expect everyone to be testing positive sooner or later... but its simply not the case.

I suspect drug use is the biggest spreader of HIV and not sex industry...

I understand what you are saying but its only a select number of people from the population of working girls that want to appear in movie shoots, end up with the faces plastered all over the world.

So IMHO, those likely to want to appear in this type of movies are less likely to be representative of the average working girl in .

From what i've seen most girls are not looking for this type of notoriety and exposure and are just basic girls from the poorer parts of Issan etc looking for a few extra bucks or a visa. The last thing they want to do is end up shaming their families etc. by becoming porno stars.

I think the ones more likely to be doing porno are the hardened career workers and the desperate drug addicted types looking for big fast bucks.

There is no way i would accept these types to representative of the whole to throw around a figure of 11%.

The average rate for HIV infection in LOS is around 1-100 for the population as a whole so 10% for sex workers seems about right and my gut feeling is that its a lot more. If you pulled 100 Ladyboys out of Nana and tested them i would put good money on it that 10 would test positive

Rubbish...I've been with many of these girls who have appeared on porno sites and not one has been a hardened career worker or a desperate drug addicted type...

Moreover, I would wager that the large majority of the families of the poor girls from Isaan don't know what a computer is let alone know how to use one...
