(azza33 @ Apr. 18 2008,07:53) I'd be curious to know where you have been that just put the food on your table, walked away, and expected you to cook it yourself
A similar place is an all you can eat BBQ for 99 baht where you take whatever raw meat you want the buffet table and cook it yourself on the coal heated plate at your table. ice cream included in the price too but not drinks.

One such place is on Soi Kopai in Pattaya.

Most ladyboys seem to enjoy the cooking especially if they don't have a stove at their place.

As for me, I don't like not knowing exactly which meat is which but a good spot for the more adventurous eaters.

(Otho @ May 31 2008,16:58) In answer to an earlier question, I believe Cabbages & Condoms was opened in BKK by a charity in the 80s, when AIDS became big news. The idea was to promote awareness and use of condoms. They used to give them away free from a big bowl by the pay desk- don't know if they still do.
Cabbages & Condoms is still around and still giving out free condoms.
Its touristy, obviously, but the food is good and the prices aren't bad. There are a lot worse places to go then C&C.

The Canterbury Tales off soi bukow do the best English breakfast in Thailand....

Can't believe Burenboy hasn't already posted, he introduced me to the place.
maybe he doesn't want the prices to go up

        for 90 batt...yes 90 batt.

2 real English rashers (not a slice of wet denny ham)
        2 English sausage(nae manky frankfurters)
        2 eggs.
        mushrooms
        big slice of black pud
        beans
        fried bread
        toast
        tea

worth checking out....not exactly culinary magic....but it hits the spot

That was OrgasmAddict's wishful thinking I'm afraid, he is mixing it up with a breakfast in Hua Hin me thinks,

Anyway, still a lot off stuff there for 95 baht, not the 90 baht OA mentioned,

                                3 Little Indians:

Indian restaurants in Pattaya - 3 of the best

                                * Orange Tree in Avenue shopping Mall

                                * Mantra restaurant near Amari - best Tandori chicken I have had in ages. This place is upmarket with various kitchens serving:
                                Chinese
                                Indian
                                Japanese
                                International
                                * Indian restaurant Soi 6.1 Beach Road end Haj Haas or something like that. Stogie liked it!

Another is Mata Hari - going out to Jomtien - rumour says it is good but expensive for Pattaya.

                                Re the Korean debate
Korean BBQ - 2 are on 3rd Road opposite Soi 3
Eat all you like - about 120 Baht per head.
You collect Meat, Fish and vegetables from the buffet and cook over a charcoal burner which has a metal domed cover which has a rim for stock and the veg.
Beer is cheap too. Let your LB cook your meat and two veg!
