Patong Villa definitely has a pool!

Yorkshire is also listed as having one, but on the photos it looks like it is indeed at another place as you said.

I just added Yorkshire to the site as well - Yorkshire looks great, both in value and comfort.

Not a fan of the YI for personal reasons but you get access to the Tailife pool as part of the deal. You can now access it directly from the YI, through the corridor that leads onto the new wing. bear in mind there are hidden-ish costs at the YI, any rates displayed will be exclusive of 10% service charge and 7% Government tax

I am thinking of booking the La Flora Resort in February. Not for my usual Ladyboy holiday - will have some family with me - but still want the option a few nights. Any comments on the resort. Cost is not really the issue.

I too considered La Flora Resort last September but found it overpriced with an unwillingness to negotiate. In the end I elected to go down the block a few hundred yards and booked a beautiful unit at the Impiana. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. They have a terrific pool and you're directly on the beach. I know you mentioned price is not an issue but if you book La Flora you will be paying the highest prices in Patong and I truly do not know what for.

The other great thing about Impiana is there is a 7-11 directly across the street where some of the most stunning LBs hang out from about noon onward. There are a number of them and they are all available.

As far as I know, there is no free internet in the room and they charge for joiners.
And it is not exactly cheap either.
How much did you pay for a night?

What I can add here is that there is a real lack of middle class accommodation in Phuket.

There are very few hotels around the 1500 baht price which offer:
- acceptable room quality
- free internet
- in room safe
- nice swimming pool
- no joiner fee
- good location

I forget exactly what I paid but it was not that bad. Yes it was pricey but no where near La Flora. I originally booked through Agoda and then renegotiated directly with the hotel once I got there. I got an upgrade and paid a little difference from the Agoda amount. The internet was included at the time. Please note I was there during low season so the prices were fair for what I got I think. It was an upscale large room about 6 feet from the pool. I brought a guest with me for the week so there was no issue with a joiner fee. And I have no idea how they could possibly regulate joiner fees since all rooms are little separate units, ground level, with their own entrances, and you can get to the units numerous ways from the street while avoiding the main entrance completely.

Please remember Ninewives mentioned price was not a concern. As such I recommended the Impiana because I believe it is better value for the money, abeit overvalued like everything else seems to be in Patong.

LaFlora is gorgeous - a 5 star experience - you'll love it!
The restaurant is to die for!
As far as i know, there's no joiner fee, but then if Ninewives is bringing family, i guess that's not a concern!

Ninewives - we have a ST hotel immediately above the bar, if you can get away for a "quickie" !
