Koh Samui hotel that's LB friendly?

Chaweng ladyboy nightlife revolves around the three cabarets. After they close the girls hang on Soi Green Mango.

Chaweng is so VERY different from Lamai, that I think any firsttimer should not book in either place for more than two nights and check out both before commiting for many nights.

I much prefer Lamai even though Chaweng has more ladyboys. But it's really a matter of personal taste. some of you will like Chaweng better but I sure don't.

In Chaweng the Montien is a decent choice at that pricepoint. Make sure to inform the desk that you'll be bringing back ladyboys and request and that you want night security informed that you will be having a ladyboy stay all night. Security has a little game where they tell visitors in thai they want a 100 baht when leaving and tells them it must be shorttime cause if it were longtime they wouldn't be around. at breakfast you will be the only guy with a ladyboy for sure and probably the only guy with a thai sexworker.

In Lamai, the Marina Beach Resort (not the Marina Villa next door) is a superb place at amazingly low prices for that kind of place.

Check out the Rat Bars (five of them) for ladyboys, but not all have lots of ladyboys but one seems to be ladyboy only and has a free fussball table. There is also one cabaret. I found my ladyboy sweetie taht I spent 5 nigts with in a girl bar though. But, Chaweng has more ladyboys than Lami.

i will have my sweetie with me , so im not on the look out for other girls, just looking for a decent place to stay for a week in koh samui where we can have a good time and not look out of place and getting frowned upon by the the sceptics( )

Dave, I think you and your sweetie will be happier in Lamai. I never felt out of place with my honey in Lamai. Samui has the nicest airport I've ever seen, it puts you in a good mood when you get off the plane.

Spent 10 day's in Chaweng last year and had a great time!, unfortunately never got around to going to Lami.

Stayed at the Tradewinds resort in south Chaweng, www.tradewinds-samui.com

stayed in the beach bungalows and the main building, i didn't think much of the bungalows they were very basic and in an over grown garden, but the room in the main building was big and spotlessly clean and had a balcony, no beach view though i'm afraid, but a nice room.

As far as guests are concerned there more than friendly, the last five day's i spent with the same girl and many times she'd have the key to the room to go shower or change, she treated the room as if it were hers, the staff knew she was with me and they were cool about it.

The security guard is an old fella who is asleep most of the time, in fact i never saw him awake past 10 o'clock, but even if he ain't, he wont give a toss who you bring back
I gave him a couple of hundred baht one night, and every time he saw me after that he would stand up and salute me.

Theres also a great pub just across the road called Pickles bar, run by a south African guy, great place when you just want to relax, have some coffee, read the newspaper or just chill before heading up into town, great atmosphere there, no hassles, really friendly staff and a gorgeous blond lb (post op) working behind the bar.
Spent many hours at this bar, became my local.
They also do a BBQ and spit roast a whole pig outside every night, it's quite a sight.

Nightlife, Dave take your sweetie to Ark bar, my gf took me there, she said farangs seem to like this place, after that night i went back every night
It's a beach bar where you don't sit, you lay down on these sofas on the beach, i guarantee you will love this place mate, it's paradise! and you wont feel out of place with your sweetie

Back in October I stayed in the Malibu Beach resort in one of the rooms with a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Good location, on the beach and you can walk to all the night life venues. No problem with having an LB with you. The breakfast is no big deal but just how many breakfastes you will eat is always a dicey subject if you partake of the night scene. This Hotel was suggested by a guy on another Forum so I decided to check it out and it met my demands.

The Marina Beach Resort is my first choice in Lamai.

My second choice is the Wanta.

I would make my base Chaweng beach and travel the odd night to Lamai they are only 10 mins apart .

Koh Samui is the perfect place to bring your teerak Dave , and as someone has already said the Ark bar is the perfect spot for an old romantic like you

Theres some great bars and resturants around and the Green Mango , sweet soul cafe and reggae pub are great for a night out .

last time I booked a beach hut at the evergreen resort , which was modern with satellite tv and in room safe , only 800 bt per night - www.evergreensamui.com

Theres no better feeling than being tucked up in bed with your lady , when the famous Samui rain beats down on your beach hut roof ......
