  • One additional note about the Haven Hotel on Soi 13 (link: http://www.thehaven-hotel.com). There is a tiny bit of "walk of shame" in that your guest must walk through the "outside" dining area and also the "inside" dining area. Always people eating there morning through about 10:00pm. Many wait staff running around there too. So slightly uncomfortable to have girls (GGs or LBs) meeting you there for morning, afternoon or early evening activities. The entire restaurant knows what is going on, all talking seems to stop when a guy comes in here with a guest.

And using the pool with a guest during the day is not too comfortable. No one ever is in the pool, and every room in the place and half the restaurant looks onto the pool ... probably why I never see anyone using it.

So I am still looking for the perfect Pattaya hotel ...

    - wifi or wired Internet IN THE ROOM 24 hrs/day
    - safety box IN THE ROOM
    - convenient location
    - less than 1200 baht/day
    - flexible on changing days of booking
    - totally guest friendly
    - everyone minding their own business

    • Pattaya Bay Resort fits the bill during low season, rates for standard room is 999 Baht/night, and high season rate is 1300.

I have stayed there twice now, during the opening special rates. While not quite as excellent value for the money now, still a good place to stay. Recommended, go check it out!

      •  Any views of the bay from the upper floors of the Pattaya Bay Resort?
        Thanks.

        • JackG, unfortunately the "Bayview" part of the name is just that. The location is behind a big new Mall off of 2nd Road, so there isn't much of a view of the bay since it is obstructed by other tall buildings. However, we don't really focus much on the view, as much as who we have in the room!

I hope you are taking the piss...

              But just in case...

There are regular buses from the airport to Pattaya - just ask at the information desk. They are very cheap.

There are buses ever 15 minutes from Pattaya to Bangkok - ask at your hotel... that's if you aren't sleeping on the beach!

              • Does anyone have any info on the new AA Hotel in Soi 13? I noticed that someone recently stated that they had written a review of this hotel but I have been unable to find it. Thanks.

There is an AA hotel at Soi 13 and Beach Road, but it is not new, been there a long time. It is OK, though, friendly staff, ultra-strict about taking ID cards of girls, and has a nice pool with a view. No in-room safety box, no Internet. Safety box is behind the front desk.

AA Residence is on Soi 13 as well, slightly bigger rooms.

                      • Yep Billy they have started already , and theres gonna be a lot of noise , I was gonna take a room there last week but the noise was terrible , and the one they offered me on the other wing was too small , I didnt bother and went back to the Sunshine , same as you having stayed in both in the past , I would stick with the Sunshine for now until they finish the work .
The pool on the roof of the Flipper is one of the nicest around though .

Free your mind and your ass will follow .

                                Good find Billy!

But might be a good idea to forward your Asia Rooms confirmation to the Sunshine and get confirmation in writing that are no joiner fees if booked thriu Asia Rooms.

Cause for you joiner fees would quintuple the price of loom!
