Just spent a week at the Nirvana Boutique Suites in Jomtien/Pattaya. 2nd time for Cindy and I. Recommend it to anyone who wishes to have a quiet hotel near the beach. + Sally's bar is literally around the corner. We managed to get out to Pattaya Beach road quite a few times and the bus ride is very quick.
Booked the 1 bedroom apartment through hotels2thailand.com as they were offering the best prices for said hotel.
The only negative (other then no lift, which makes an LB cranky) is the internet connection. Some sites are restricted, like TLF.
My last stay was the Marriott and had no problem bringing LBs back there. Was undecided this time so I booked the Marriott again...I know it's a little pricey but a great hotel back in 07. Has anything changed with that hotel in last few years with regards to LBs?
hey guys I read the threads on the Montien and the Pattaya Bay Resort but I was able to get a quote of 2100 Thai Baht per night all inclusive with VAT (not breakfast) per night at Montien and the 990 low season rate for the PBR. which one should I stay at? i know about the joiner fee at the Montien but I am ok with that since I dont bring back too many ladies during my trip and like short time mostly. I do like golf and a good concierge service at the hotel I stay. any tips or advice? The LK Renaissance of which I stayed before never replied to my emails. regards
thanks buddy I know you are the expert about patts
its not that I am "so high end" but I go there once every other year and with the dollar the price differential is not a big deal
I stayed at the August Suites and it is a fine place. The rooms are spacious and the staff excellent. I am sure you can do a deal with them for 2,000 baht per night. It is on the corner of Central Pattaya and Second. very close to Soi 7 and 8 and not far from Soi 6. WS is a baht bus away. I love the baht buses and find them very efficient. I think August Suites is a good location.
The LK Renaissance has a promotion on presently. You can get a Studio room for 1,900baht per night. I am staying there in May. I elected to stay their in lieu of August Suites because my LB friend prefers it. It is close to where she works and also close to the areas I frequent.

I have been looking quite franctically over the last few weeks looking for a bit of a "gettaway" place to stay for myself and the g/f in Pattaya for 5 nights next month
My favourite two choices (and which I have stayed in both before) were the Areca Lodge and the LK Renaissance but after seeing your post ezflip and for which I thank you for , and plus after further researching into it I have finally opted for the Nirvana Boutique Suites on Jomtien Soi 4 provided I can get a booking.
I'm looking at the I bedroom deluxe with a 5 night stay pay for 4 night thats on offer which is a really good deal and seems perfect considering the Hotel itself and Location
Your got yer Mother in a whirl

I had friends who stayed at Montien recently. Their feedback was "great exterior", "so-so rooms that needed an update". I have seen the pool and the grounds and I think that they are quite nice, but would be cautious about the rooms.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.
To me the big advantage to the LK Renaissance is the jacuzzi bathtub. The only problem w/ lk R. is I do a lot of last minute trips and often I can't get a room !
