The Dawin is LB friendly. Actually, the two times I took an LB back, they both commented on how friendly the staff were towards them.

Has anyone had any experience with Hotel Solo Sukhumvit Soi 2? It's 4 star at around $65 per night which makes it a deal over Majestic Grande, although slightly further away from the action.

I just noticed this new 'boutique' hotel on soi 4 as I was eating lunch across the road. Heaven@4 is just 60 yards further down soi 4 from the Rajah car-park, better known as Guess. It opened just 3 weeks ago so everything is brand spanking new and shiny and has some enticing opening offers for the next 3 months.
All rooms have flat-screen TV, DVD and nicely done bathrooms with toilet hose!

The standard rooms go for 1500 baht/night, superior for 1800, junior suite 2200 and executive suite with bath/jacuzzi and shower for 2500.
The rooms have decent double-glazing so no chance of noise spoiling your daylight slumbers.

And the most important thing, the manager assured me that there is no joiner fee and that ladyboys are as welcome as GGs.

The hotel has a website (www.heavenatfour.com) but it is currently still under construction. Thankfully the telephones do work +66 2656 9450.

A reasonably priced alternative to the Dynasty, Nana etc.

The old Dynasty Inn next door to NEP completed new rooms in the back. The prices quoted me were 1980/2200bht for the two grades of rooms. But there's nothing on their site, nor can any pics be provided to justify the price.

Anyone seen or used them?

Dynasty Inn's got a lot going for it, but last time there I received bed bug bites all over my legs.

The new rooms I'm asking about are no more than a few months old. Unlikely to have bed bugs...

There are actually 2 photos on their site, but small and inconclusive. I can't imagine they're worth the book rate...

Hotel Solo is a great little Hotel situated just beside Aspen suites. Lookup Wotif.com and look for the Wotif Hotel with the "see through bathroom" in the description only 1000 baht a night.

Spotless condition - great bed, nice LCD TV and DVD player - good sized safe, great staff - no additional charges for multiple joiners - only a stroll to Nana - I would highly recommend it !
