I'll be staying at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit for 15 nights during my upcoming stay using Starwoods cash and points award.  This is one of the better hotel point deals around ($45, 2800 starpoints/night) that has rarely been available at the Westin.

Any first-hand reports on the Dawin Hotel, the new Dynasty Inn Group hotel ?

It's on Soi 4 and appears to be just around the corner from the Dynasty Inn Grande.

The low season rates on their website are 1780Bt for a standard room, 2080Bt for superior and 2680Bt for deluxe.

Looks quite stylish, rooms have wifi and they've got a rooftop swimming pool....sounds like another good option close to the action.

I think if you do a search you'll find someone has reviewed it if I'm not mistaken.

          Dawin Hotel .
The hotel is very small , i would guess about 40 to 50 rooms . It was paid for by the sister of the owner of DIG . the rooms are of a better standard then DIG . But for what the hotel is I thnk overall they are charging to much .

              Cheers,

Size shouldn't be a problem, only planning to stay for a couple of nights.

              Will do a review.

I'm booked in at the Dawin in a "Deluxe" room for 3 nights in May, it was a "toss up" ( not literally ) between there and the Aspen Suites but the 24 hour room service swung it for me at the Dawin but I've just had to buy a travel kettle off E-bay as the Dawin doesn't have tea/coffee facilities in loom.

Will forward a report and pics too

daveduke007, I think it would be cheaper to buy a kettle in Bkk - and take it back with you or leave it with your fav lb for safekeeping until your next visit!

Grand Business Inn, my fav hotel has hot water kettles - only things missing are in room safe (has safety deposit boxes at reception) swimming pool, and gym. Highly recommended, can bring in as many as 3 guests no extra charge, get extra towels, shampoo, soap, as well.

They have 24 hr room service and the hotel restaurant has good food.
