If staying at the Omni become an Ascott Club member and you save about 100 baht a night.

Omni is is def a step up in class from Nana/Dynasty and if staying in the Sukhumvit area with a ladyboy is now my hotel of choice. If staying alone, I'd go to a cheaper place.

Omni breakfast is so-so but worth 100 baht pp so that shaves 200 baht off the rate. Omni also has in room safes.

Intangibles:PRO a very friendly staff that went out of their way to kiss my ass; no problem that I was staying with a ladyboy.

CON: not really a sex tourist hotel, so I'm not sure ehat the reaction would be if you brought back two girls for a threesome. Not saying it would be negative, I just don't know.

I'm not advocating doing your own laundry.

Rather bringing your small bag of laundry to a nearby laundromat and they'll have it ready for u the next day.

I don't laundry is a big cost anyways, so its not worth your time to try and save a quick buck unless you're doing drycleaning at say the Marriott or Sheraton. Most of the Bangkok hotel rates are reasonable. I spent 3 weeks in LOS and only shelled out $60 USD for laundry the entire time.

flight booked for 11 days from 14th june to 25th. Booked into the majestic suites and into a superior room. Is there much point in upgrading to a deluxe room there? Is ther much difference between that and a superior?

Just to add to the discussion on Omni Tower, you can get a very cheap rate for a 1 month stay compared to the daily rate if you go through the agents in the Omni. There are 3 offices and they all offer long stay rates. Daily rate for studio apt...1800 - 2000 baht depending on which website or club membership x 30 = 55,000 to 60,000 baht for 1 -3 month v long stay around 35,000 for 1 bedroom and cheaper for studio apt. Good hotel, I stayed there on 3 seperate occasions and had no problem. In house safes, mini mart, massage,cafe,large rooms, strong hot water, pool and gym and laundry. The other benefit is all rooms are kitchens with microwave ovens with tea and coffee making facilities.

Security is good and they take the ID;s cards when you enter or if your shy you can tell them who is coming.

Funny they have a alphabetical box for the ID cards and when I checked my LB in there was more than 30 cards in the box and it was early in the evening. Guard smiled and said "Same Same" when he saw POP looking very so beautiful but her ID card was a boy with short hair!

My response was....... isn't she beauitful. Everyone laughed and off we went. Small things like that make the experience so much more enjoyable for everyone.

And one free internet terminal in the lobby.

And the best massage I've had yet in the LOS though not a happy ending type.

Have you tried Ronny's Pizza across the road and down a bit? They deliver as well which is cool when you want one with the lot!

Good fun that.........sitting up in bed watching TV with a Pizza, beer and your favouite ladyboy. When I try to explain that to my wife she just doesn't understand.

Ive tried Ronnie's pizza but everytime I have had one, I have really got the S**ts afterwards. I thought it was just me - but the LB I was with also said she had the same thing which could be messy if your on the job !!!!!!
