Ibis Hotel Soi 4 Nana now open

Ibis have opened a new hotel on Soi 4 next door to The Dawin . I stayed there over the weekend. rate was 1000 baht per night, booked through accor.com. As would be expected of a new hotel it was super clean, rooms were on the small side but it has a 24hr  restaurant and bar. Clientele was a mixed bag, didn't look like the usual mongers ,but I had no problem bringing back Top etc from Guess Bar. No joiner fees, staff very attentive. They charge for internet by the hour. I usually stay at DIG or Dawin but thought I would check it out. I was 1st person to use room so no cum stains on arrival but plenty on departure. I've now moved to an executive suite at Aspen Suites on Soi 2 now as I wanted a bit more space, 3000 baht per night 56 sq metres, free breakfast and internet. Ibis ideal for short stays or if you are on a budget

Good to know that the crappy Nana Hotel and all the other rundown crap holes are getting some healthy competition!

1,000 baht for a brand new room on soi 4 is a good deal I reckon.

    Thanks for sharing your impressions...

        Hi Snapper...

Thanks for this short review as I will be arriving in BK on the 17th of March and this is the hotel I booked for my 2 days there before heading to Pattaya for a couple of weeks.
I also paid 1000 Baht per night and will hopefully annoint another room with some Lb stickys soon after I arrive there.

Quick question....how far is this hotel located from Nana and Guess?

One of the great mysteries of Bangkok is how the Nana Hotel continues to operate on a 90% occupancy rate with such a poor standard of the bulk of their rooms

It can not be anything else except location, location, location.

Easy walk (comfortable staggering distance) down Soi 4    ..... or if you are really lazy a 30 baht tuktuk from Nana.   Next to Dawin Hotel, about 100 metres from Soi 6 left turn.

Sorry, that was really stupid - no tuktuk driver would rise from his slumbers for a farang 30 baht

Yes, good to see Snapper posting here ....   please!

Nothing to do with Thailand, but they also opened a new hotel in Singapore (Bencoolen street).

Had an email from accor b4 i read the forum & booked My first two & last night in BKK at the said hotel.
Me thinks it was a building site just up on the left hand side of soi 4 just b4 the Royal ivory, that I thought had not moved on from one six months till the next.
I like ibis hotels for one or two nights, you know exactly what you are getting & at 1000 baht a night, aint nothing near bye to touch those rates

IBIS is a great brand - one that I readily choose on my travels .... but I nearly said 'Probably targeted at couples / families'. I got the same feeling when I had a look around the IBIS Pattaya.

Joiner fees say to me ..... 'Mongers unwelcome .... PS. especially with Ladyboys'.  But Snapper didn't pay any, so maybe any company-wide policy is ... errm, adjusted fr its location?

..... I'm staying next door, so will go and ask tomorrow.
