New airport update

I travel a lot and the new airport is nearly as efficient as Changi and better than Dulles/Kennedy/Heathrow and Gatwick!!!

I come through Bkk - being a TG user - every month, sometimes I am lucky and get to stop over others it is a few hours in the airport.

Immigration as always been good at the new airport.

My only complaint is that at the old airport you could get a massage and extra. At the new one - you can get a massage and that is it!!!

All said I do prefer the new one - seems less hassle..... IMHO.

I was just about to say the same thing. I'm at a total loss to understand how anybody could come to such a conclusion. Not even in the same category. Not remotely.

That was the main reason i used to use the london airports, but they are no better now.

Changi immigration can also be a problem early in the morning when the european flights arrive, but on the whole it is the best airport in the world.

The even better news is that terminal 3 opened last week, so a bunch of Sing Airlines flights have now moved to T3.....so even more capacity to spread the passengers through, so even less queues (not that I have ever seen any there anyway!)

Indeed it is shit, but its the only airport I've seen which has bangers'n'mash in the business lounge！real fuckin banger'n'mash！

Heathrow may be shit, but they dont half move some planes, and unless there is Union trouble, it usually works...

One scam to beware of at Sukhumvit airport is someone, in my case an Arab, saying they need to pay a departure tax to get on their plane and can you help them. There is no departure tax.

I assume you mean Suvarnabhumi Airport unless they opened a new one just down the street from me

That's the biggest scam of the lot... a departure tax for Sukhumvit. Twice I've been shafted for that!
