  you certainly got some of us bald old farts all revved up & over excited, so you achieved something, but I truly hope you have also learned something as well, whether you are prepared to believe what we say is another thing altogether of course.

  The Philippines is a slightly different deal to the LOS, been there too loads of times, & just returned to the LOS after 5 days over there, there are LB bars & I will report on them once I find some quiet moments & sort out some pictures. Mainly from Angeles & Subic.

  If you are truly an LB lover & I am not sure if you really are, as I gather from your posts you have not had much, if any experience with them. Then you need to go to Cebu, nicest place & largest concentration of LB's. One thing about LB's they are on a short fuse, which you will find out to your cost should you decide you are getting a freebie & that was definitely not what they had in mind. They are on there turf & can dish out the violence by the boat load with relative impunity. They are also considerably tougher than you think, if you seriously upset one you may as well have upset them all, its a collective, & you will not beat them all, so don't try. Don't bother with the police they are on the "Money Number 1" deal as well.

Your webcam contact with them is known as "grooming" in the western world, lulling you into a false sense of security. The majority do have considerable time on there hands & the employment situation in the Philippines is farely poor, so time on webcam is relatively cheap for them & entertaining. They are not going to come out & say Hi I'm a prostitute ( I hate that word ), they will assume a certain amount of knowledge on your behalf, once they realize its not there, they will exploit it to the full. However if you are cool & keep it business as usual you WILL have a good time.

Bare in mind also the tourist horde & back packers  generally don't make it to the Philippines, lots of us old farts do. Its a bit too scary for the horde as they don't know whats going on anyway & back packers    trying to "find themselves" are mainly just cheap skate dreamers who don't want to find themselves without aircon, hot & cold water, safety boxes, & all the conveniences alot of the areas in the Philippines doesn't have. Scams are also rife, & when you belong to the "unaware & clueless club" you soon become a victim, so its all a little bit too scary in the end so they don't go. Another tip, the "Lonely Planets" guide books never tell you how dangerous it really is & can be about as miss leading as it gets.

I wish you the very best of luck in your quest, I also hope you have a safe trip, if you decide to go & meet your webcam lovers in the Philippines be well aware of where you are & what is going on around you. Personally i suggest you do the LOS first, good training for the Philippines. I like the Philippines & I love the people, but it is not a place for the first time trip.

So i admitted i was a bit unclear before, and i didn't meant that I'm some don juan, that ill go to nana and charm all the LB to go back to my hotelroom for a freebie 10-some.

  Just bare in mind the economy in the Philippines & the generally very poor salaries & virtually nil opportunities for the majority of the population.
