      Hello Gents,

We use one on Sukumwit 71 - its between Sois 14 and 16, just north of Justco. You can park in Justco for free

It's a sort of dental practice and there are about 5 of them in all - so it tends to be a lottery as to which one you see each time. Have found them all to be OK - but the English is a bit patchy.

I have been very happy with the work at

          Dentajoy

with offices in Chaeng Wattana (near Tesco Lotus), Bang na (Seacon Square), and Thong Lor (Sukhumvit 55 in the "Sizzler" restaurant building - about a 5 minute walk from BTS)

As the dentists that work in this firm are some of the best in the country (see their CV details online) many of them sideline one or two days per week as professors in dental schools in Bangkok or Chiang Mai

Thus the dental work is some of the I have ever had - only downside can be getting an appointment for a specific day or time if you are giving short notice (they are busy)

Book your appointment via the website, or call Dr. Akarawan (office director) or khun Warin (receptionist) at the Thong Lor office +66 (0) 2 390 2772-3

All staff speak excellent English, by the way

Ok, I did the survery, 5 dentists, for my friend May. Our findings:

-Bumrungrad. Hospital atmosphere. Pricey. Not a warm feeling. Hard-on factor: 8.
-DC-One. Very professional. Clean. Expensive. Hard-on factor: 9.9. Every dentist is playboy material.
-Soi 19. Dental Spa. Spa and dentist, figure that our. Least friendly of all places I went. Hard-on factor: 7
-Soi 39. Promjai. Comfortable feeling. Clean, modern, professional. Hard-on factor: 5.
-Soi 55. Dental Hospital. Huge. Somewhat dirty feeling. Moderately friendly. Hard-on factor: 0.
-Soi 55. Denta-joy. Small. Clean. Friendly. Seems pretty good. Hard-on factor: TBD.

So we've decided to go to Soi 39, Promjai, the ONLY place of 5 that gave me a tour of the
facilities. All others said no. Rudest of all, and most marketed of all was the Dental Spa on Soi 19.
            I walked out cursing them.

            Denta-Joy was a close second.

BTW, I checked all prices. It seems basic stuff like filling, extractions are near the same
everywhere. It's only big jobs like root canals, braces, whitening, where there are huge
differences. Braces ranged from 50K - 135K Baht in these places for the exact same job.
Likewise, teeth whitening ranged from about 7K-20K.

Great legwork Ziggy , can I ask you where the root canal prices I posted from Grace Dental in Chang Mai are on the scale of the dentists you looked into in BKK... Thanks
