Good dentist in bkk

Hi all,

Looking for a dentist in BKK that is both reasonably priced and is known to do good work? This question is probably more for the locals but I am sure others have occassionally used the Thai dental services.

Sound like the one ziggy is using might be a good one but costs twice as much as everyone else

Good topic Oz- man. That is something I need to check out also. On my March holiday in 2005 the last night I bit into a piece of Pizza and must have hit something hard like a pit but the outcome resulted in one of the teeth from my partial breaking off. Lucky for me it was dark in the restaurant but I spend the rest of the night avoiding having my sweetie look to close. I have heard that there is a great a dental clinic along Sukhumvir Road that is close to Nana and Soi Cowboy, I have the info. somewhere in my trip notes and when I find it I will post the name and address. It came highly recommended by the guys on the Nanapong forum.

Interested in a dentist that uses novocaine if I have an emergency. Ziggy's other thread seems to imply that novocaine isgenerally not used when drilling?

Also is there a cheap dentist in Pattaya, maybe I'll bring my sweetie. Will the dentist charge extra if she's with a farang?

I know of a great dentist not far from where I live. My friend Bangkok Phil who has been here for almost two decades reckons he's great.

Samitivej hospitals have great dentists too but they cater to farangs and the prices corespond.

I'll get a business card and post the details and a review of this guy my mate Phil uses soon...

Great information doorway. Excellent detail! If you needed the dental work anyway, you could get it done AND a couple of weeks in paradise all expenses paid for what it would cost just for the dental work in the States.

BTW, what's this bit of not using anesthesia??? I ALWAYS make sure I get the nitrous in addition to the local. It passes the time most pleasantly. Oops, are my old long-hair days showing through?

Starwheel, good timing. Since I discovered my current dentist is 2 * going rate, I started a little research program. I'm visiting 3 other dentists today or tomorrow to check them out, along Sukhumvit, so it's easy access. I'll let you know. May and I are changing dentists as of this week. On the web, there are many, and they all look good, but I'll do the "gut feel" thing this week. My former dentist (www.dc-one.com) did use novocaine if u wanted it.

The ones I'm checking are on Soi 19 (a Dental "Spa"!!!), soi 39, soi 55.

BNH Hospital on Convent Road (off Silom, near Pat Pong) has several quality dentists. You can check their qualifications on the BNH web site. Just google BNH Hospital Bangkok and then go to their dental section.

Don't be put off by the fact it is a hospital. You can just get a cleaning if you wish. Interestingly, the dentists do the cleanings in the big hospitals. The hygenists, if you want to call them that, just assist.

The dental spa ziggy mentions above gets huge amounts of press. The spa head there has considerable PR skills. I'm curious to see how he makes out there.

Between these two, plus Sametivet Hospital if you find yourself on upper Sukhumvit, you should do just fine.

I use Dr Smile opposite Cali Fitness on Silom Rd for a long long time because the girl Doctor was fucking horny . Shes left now to study abroad and another guy does it but hes OK and its cheap but i dont get a hard on any more.

Never bother with the anasthetic as i am on other medication but i do have to grip the chair tightly . Anyway what are you guys mice or men ......
