Is anyone else struggling to find airline "deals"?

The price of EVA flights can be misleading as they do not give the  air miles on cheapos and also half the time when you book it ..not available

Thats how i lost my gold card as they stated that special offers = no miles( but 3 months later i got the letter) So they snatched the fucker back..im on Silver now ( free cup of tea)

I still use them but the gloss has worn off now.

The last couple of years, July has been over $1500 from the west coast, and it did NOT come down as the date got closer. Not for July.

Friend bought DFW-BKK-DFW for this week for about $1000 round-trip (transit in NRT). That is the lowest it's been for awhile. He bought it about a week ago.

You might be right but I got SFO to BKK r/trip for $900 July, 09 on Delta. Your buddy got a hell of a deal last week. I want the miles for status so holding out. Backup plan is to use miles just for a one way. That'll make it more palatable.

I just checked for May 12 thru May 22 and the price was down to $1400.00. Thats less than I got from the IRS refund so that trip would technically be free right?

QATAR had an offer until the 14th of april ,2 tickets for the price of one,
600Euros, but 2 people must travel together at the same flight and the trip must be done by the 14th of june.
Ithink that was a good deal (each had to pay 300Euros) athens -bkk and bkk-athens.
The flight is athens doha,you wait at the airport about an hour ,change plane and then bkk.

I spent $200.00 at a topless bar last night for drinks and lap dances, topless only. In Pattaya that would have gotten me what 2 maybe 3 Long times with ah hot Ladyboy? Gotta get my priorities straight.

Earlier this month tickets on China Airlines LAX to BKK round trip economy were about $950 for 30 days maximum. $1200 for a 6 month ticket.

Okay - got United out of the West Coast US for $1,600 r/t one stop in Narita for July. (18 hours out, 17 back - just about as short a trip as possible.) That includes Economy plus for the BKK to Narita stretch on the return. I figure I'll be hung over AND depressed as hell so I'll need some emotional pampering, although I'm not expecting much.  

I really wanted Delta for the mileage but wasn't willing to pay more AND take 5 hours longer on the return. Plus the mileage on United isn't so bad b/c my next flight should be free.   BKK here I come!

Anybody use website WWW.AIRTKT.COM ? I found a ticket that leaves the 8th at 9:00 pm and puts me in Friday morning at 5:30pm. The price was $1750.00 which was the best and it flies JAL. JAL shows the same ticket at $2100.00 . Strange. Its a travel agency in business since 1990 and have an A- BBB rating.

I'm flying to Manila from LA and there are no deals but Manila to Bangkok on Cebu pacific is dirt cheap! See you all in July!
