Only AEON, but in Pattaya they're not in areas that most tourists would normally go.

But if you know where you're going in Pattaya, Carefour on Pattaya past 3rd road or Homeworks on Sukhumvit near Pattaya Tai have AEON machines where you can avoid the 150 baht fee.

1 As already advised in front of Home Works next to Big C on Sukhumvit Road.

2 Carrefour in Pattaya Klang inside beside MK resturant.

3 Tesco Lotus on North Pattaya Road. If you go in the side door turn left on rhs near the end of the corridor.

I have got money from all 3 in the last week. No charge.

A friend of mine was informed recently that the yellow Bank of Ayudhya does not charge the 150. He checked himself and during the transaction a pop us said something like this transaction will cost you 0 baht, do you wish to continue. Well what a no brainer, and when he checked his online banking there was no mention of the 150.

Anyone else can confirm this??

must be a recent change - I was in LOS, Oct and when I checked their ATM in BKK, Pantip Plaza, the notice was for 150 baht, so I canceled the transaction.

A guy one oneof the str8 forums reported being chraged the 150 baht fee by Ayudtha the other day. It's possible that some cards are charged and others not though.

For me, I have money in Thai banks so have no first hand knowledge.

I have since found out that my friend has a card with the Nationwide Bank in Britain and that BoA apparently don't charge those cards the 150.

In the two months since I was last here, the Bank of Ayudhya has introduced 150 baht transaction fees for Nationwide debit cards. Bollocks! It's a simple enough decision to carry cash or T/Cs for two weeks of so, but it is going to make life that bit more expensive for my normal three months (at a time when the pound/ baht exchange rate is already causing pain)

I walked into a Kasikorn Branch in Udon Thani armed only with a passport and walked out 30 minutes later with a Debit card and Passbook. This was immediately linked to internet access.

If I were a smart falang not living in LOS I would send a few 100 squid a month to that account online, and watch it grow until I arrived in LOS to plunder it.

Advantages:
Mrs BM won't know it exists (Use Short time room 4, Soi Nana, BKK 10110 as an address, or, more realistically the street address of the hotel you are in)
Kasikorn branches and ATM's seem second only to Siam Commercial for being available anywhere,
ATM fees are free from Kasikorn, and I think 30 baht from other Thai ATM's.

Sound sensible?
