Pattaya is easier than bangkok, but i personaly prefer bangkok. You could head straight for pattaya then tag a couple of days on the end in bangkok or vice versa.
It all depends what you want and how easy you want it!
Good luck and have a good trip!
i'm going where the sun keeps shining.................

Welcome. Congratulations on your divorce. I am sure you will have a great trip. Spend some time poking around in here. That will help you decide what city to pick and where to go once you get there. There is a ton of great information here that you won't find anywhere else.

IMHO you should rocket str8 off to Patty and then spend your last couple of days in BKK. I dont know but I think BKK can be a bit much for a newbie. I know it was for me and I traveled a lot in my life. Try Patty its like shooting fish in a barrel and you will be used to the scene quickly. If you need any pointers just send me a PM.

                  BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!

Yeah, first trip I'd recommend 2 days in BKK and 6 in Patts. That is what I did on my first trip.

I have seen videos of Waling Street and it seems like PARADISE.

Welcome mate!! I know fellow BM Smuttley will like you for sure. He is another one of those diehard fans of all teams from the state of Michigan, except MSU I think.

Wolverines, Red Wings, Tigers, Lions. Smuttley is the biggest fan I know. You guys can compare notes.

My suggestion with only 8 days, would be to spend the entire time in Pattaya. It is cheaper, easier to get around to all the various venues and still has overall quality equal to Bkk, IMO.
If I had only 8 days after flying that far, I would want every minute possible while in country to be available for mongering. Relocating from one city to another will use up part of your time that could be put to good use. Even if it is just a few hours of one day, you won't be able to do justice to all Pattaya has to offer in your 8 days, so it's not like you'll be bored.

There has to be more ladyboys per square mile in Pattaya than anywhere else on earth.

Congrats on the divorce... welcome back to the real world!

Go to Pattaya - make your way to walking street and walk slowly down it till you hit 'Soi BJ' then make a left and go to EZY Bar and say hello to the owners Karl and Lita and start creating memories for a lifetime...
