DIG enforces 3rd person fee

Update on BKK hotels in Nana Area:

Stayed some nights at DIG with my wife the other day, and I have to sadly report they enforce a 500 baht fee for a third person in the room.

A while ago I took back 2 ladyboys to Adelphi Suites, and they didn't charge.
Majestic Grande too didn't charge.

That makes the Adelphi the best choice for me (because of free internet), if I get a good rate.
Majestic charges outrageous internet fees.

Another thing to factor in is the breakfast.
That costs extra at DIG, while it is included at the Adelphi...

This appears to be the official policy at all the Dynasty Inn Group hotels although depending on who is stationed on the reception desk, it's not always strictly enforced.

As for the breakfast at the DIG, you would be doing yourself a service by finding somewhere else to eat.

Thegame925, Mardhi & myself all had a very lack lustre breakfast there recently, and promised to find breakfast elsewhere in future.

Speaking of breakfast, a number of places do include a buffet breakfast in the room rate, but when it's all over by 11am, its totally useless as I'm still in sleep mode.

Same as us KK, the breakfast is usually useless to us due to the time it ends...

That said, of the few times it has been an issue, no hotel has enforced the 'fourth person' rule as yet

I will be staying at the Adelphi myself next Wednesday and Thursday nights in a 1 Bedroom Deluxe Suite
( 2 Television's so  it doesnt  interfere with me wanting to watch Man United at 3-00am and the teerak's sleeping    )

i still enjoy the DIG, but agree the breakfasts are crap.

Ended up using the Nana Hotels buffet breakfast a few times I was last in LOS. Nana hotel is gone down a hell of a lot over the years but the breakfast is still tops....

I booked Aspen Suites this time.

I think it is a real bargain at 1750 baht a night?

I booked Aspen Suites for my January trip as well. It looks well worth the $.

I just stayed at the DIG and they are ripping out the 6th floor of the back building for some reason - judging by the noise (I was on 5th floor) its a major change happening. By the way the hotel was very very quiet which probably echos how other people have voted with their feet about issues but for me at least at 2280b night, its still a good buy.

I just spent three evenings at the DIG and all they had available were non-smoking rooms...So someone must be staying there...

it could be an explanation if they are demolishing the 6 floor...cause every time iwe asked (last time 6 weeks ago) for a smoking room... i was placed on the 6 floor...

Well, that are drastic measures. Demolishing a whole floor to get rid of  the smell of tobacco

They did this to me with nadia and her friend. I personally feel the DIG is over priced and when they hit you for 500 extra, they can forget it.
Majestic suites is 1440 / night has slighty smaller rooms and no pool.BUt i will bet you i can walk into the DIg with a towel under my arm and sit by the pool and order a drink.No one will be bothered.
No more DIg for me
