well im not set at jan yet no flight booked was gonna do a last min flight this time so could be any time from jan on,ive made my mind up from now im doin last min flights so less waiting and counting days down,wanna just pack some bags n go when the mood suits,self employed so lucky, tho have to put the hours in.fuck it you only live once.

maybe for you is certanly possible have a good adventurs in 4 or 5 days , but I dream a long period to stay in los , for my is necessary about 20 days for see the tree city capital of lb pattaya bkk end phuket.

As most know, I actually did the 4 day trip.

Flew from london @9.30 on saturday night , arriving @ the Majestic Grande by 5pm on sunday.

A pretty hectic 4 nights and left on midnight wed/thurs, arriving back @ heathrow 7.30am thursday morning.

I upgraded on the way back and slept most of the way home, meaning i could go straight to work and do a full day.

Not perfect, but a great break none-the-less.

I am deliberating wether to have three 12 night stints next year ( if I still have a job that is  ) or carry on with the two 18 nighters which I have been doing.

The 3 stints would certainly break up the year better even though its an extra Flight, waiting 23 weeks for the 18 nighters is a bit of a killer

I remember before I moved here, I used to come quite often and now my son talks about coming for a visit. I lived in New England in the United States. My son talks about coming for a short trip, mainly because of the schooling he has to do, he's in college. Now for him to come, he has to come from Maine (closest airport for him, then go to either Washing DC or to Chicago and then to Tokyo and then to BKK. Shortest flying time I ever did was 28 hours and you have to consider the layovers and everything and I told him when we discussed him coming, it's like 2-3 days here and the same home and to figure at least a minumum of a week here, so my guess would be the shortest for him would be 10 days....MINIMUM!

Shortest for me......FOREVER, I will never go back to the states, that is unless they kick me out of Thailand. This is truly paradise!

I was a Labor Day weekend.

Years ago while I was madly in love with a girl in BKK, I once made a trip leaving NY on Friday afternoon, arriving Sunday morning in BKK, going straight to her apartment for about 20 hours wild catching up.

Monday morning I caught a flight that landed me back in NYC, just in time for a night's sleep and in time for back to work Tuesday morning.

Don't think I would do that again for any girl.

Years gone bye i have always spent over 16 nights in los the longest being 90 nights/3 months the shortest being october just gone which was 14 nights( 7 in laos),
with my current situation i would consider 3 nights in los with a day either side for travel! Fuck it your only here once as they say!
