  • Etihad fuel surcharge increase 200 quid!

etihad have increased the fuel surcharge from manchester to over 200 pound .i think the way thing are going it will be just 1 trip next year for me

    just a tip,
when booking through dial a flight or travel bag etc etc, ask for 1 night in bkk the price on flight stays the same, you dont need to use hotel as its always to far away, but they cannot up the price before you go due to fuel etc etc as when booking with accom even if for 1 nigh, its a package youve booked. only flights alone tend to increase unless you pay in full at time of booking.

Is this on a pre-booked flight and, if so, how did you find out ? My flight was bought and paid for a few months back and I haven't heard anything from the airline...yet.

Etihad have for several months been alot cheaper than the other airlines flying out of Manchester. All they are doing is putting their prices in line with Emirates.

It should be a short term increase - latest forecast is that by the New Year oil will be below a $100 a barrel.

Wot? Prices coming down? No more fuel surcharges?

Hmmm... Seems like a bit of media hype to dispel a global civil war.

                  I've booked with Etihad.. again.

Fuel charges have taken all economy tickets up by £40 (not £200), but seats are going faster and so you're lucky to get the chepaest bracket economy seats.

With flexible dates I grabbed a seat for £556. Nov-Feb. London to Bangers.

                  Winner!

two weeks now and not a word from them about any fuel surcharge, fingers crossed here
