Some good deals around at the moment on direct flights with both Eva and Thai .
Funny how its come full circle in the last few years , flights are cheaper now than they were two years ago .
I've flown with both quite a few times now , Eva are better in the sense that they have pretty good entertainment , Thai on the other hand has next to nothing .
Service etc on both seems pretty much the same , though on my last flight with Thai one of the mincers who was serving the after dinner refreshments seemed to take a shine to me and kept refilling my brandy glass

You UK based guys are lucky , I've to add a domestic flight from Ireland to the equation , and there's never a decent deal to Heathrow

I think the nearest airport for your BKK flight would be New York, then depending on the airline, there could be a stop somewhere in Asia before the final leg to Bkk.
