  • just booked my trip i paid $971 for a round trip ticket, along with 55,000 american express points .
the trip is via hong kong . so far its the fastest way to bkk from nyc that i have seen at 20hrs.

i really miss the thai air direct flight at 17hrs.. but the price is right with this fare.

      • Just to keep the thread alive - I paid 28,685 Thai baht (£560 / $810) for a round trip from BKK to the UK. (Mid June to mid July)

Can YOU do better? I hope not as I have already paid for the tickets!

          I can just pip that.

Similar dates buy going in the opposite direction to Stogie (not planned.. honest ) £530 - Direct with British Airways.

I definietly find the flights between UK-BKK are lower this year than they have been for a few years.

One small glimmer of positivity coming out of the UK 'credit crunch'

          • flights definitely lower this year

I just paid ‚¬606 return Dublin-Bangkok. If my dates were more flexible, could have gotten it for ‚¬579

              • Flights from the US via Korean Airlines seem the best deal at the moment. I got the cheapest ticket I've been able to get in the past 3 years for a September visit.

                • A mate just booked an April ticket, Washington DC to Bangkok round-trip for US$726 RT, including all taxes. United Airlines.

The fare is so cheap because he tacked on a Washington-Toronto leg on the very end of the trip, so the ticket is actually open-jaw WAS-BKK-YYZ.  He will not check bags and will just skip the final flight.  Because of a quirk in how UA tickets an "L" fare with the final destination as Canada, no fuel surcharge is charged.  This is an incredible deal if you can find an L-class fare and get it to omit a fuel surcharge before UA fixes this glitch.

yeh,too right stogie cheapest ive ever paid was £475 return
GATWICK- QATAR-BKK (DON MUANG) then same back so eat my shorts stogie, just the 1.5 hour wait in QATAR for connecting flight.....its the way i like to do it,dont like direct.
when you look how far and how much our american buddies have to pay coupled with the exchange rate for them then us in the UK dont have it so bad.
