Just booked my first trip to Thailand. Should be incredible. Flying out of San Francisco in early September, returning approximately one week later. Flying Eva airlines. Avoided China airlines (safety record is questionable) and picked a flight that accommodated my schedule so paid a little more - - about $1,200. Used Vayama.com and was disappointed to learn from speaking w/ phone a representative that I didn't get the "bulkhead" seat I selected on-line (yes, too good to be true). Fortunately, she was able to get me in a window seat at least. Glad I called and double checked. 18 hours total on way out and about 17 on way back.

(jhcal26 @ Jul. 14 2007,07:04) $1,200...
I paid $820 all in from LAX to BKK with a stop in Taiwan on EVA coach in Nov 06. I didn't know prices were that much higher in the summer.

(brocklanders @ Jul. 24 2007,13:26) Look on the Eva web site under Hot Deals and there are plenty of cheap flights there...taxes are a bitch though. I like to use Eva miles on Continental as Continental gets me free flights pretty fast, especially to Brazil and Colombia.

If it's the EVA promo...total is about $660 usd...you have to me a member of their Everegreen Club and give up 10k air miles to get the promo pricing...but you'll probably make about 16k air miles from the trip so still a great deal..."It's not Gay if you beat them up afterwards." --- Anon

took advantage of a similiar offer from eva 6 weeks
ago, $700.00 total incl taxes , + 7500 miles, then another 10k miles to upgrade to deluxe/elite, they do
offer these quite frequently to their club members, I leave 10/24, returning 11/10, unusual, I think to be able to upgrade from a discount fare, and u will still earn the iles as Kahuna says
