(PogueMahone @ Mar. 17 2007,00:40) I always give a hugh thumbs up to EVA Airlines. They have great fares if you can be flexible in your travel dates. Sometimes I take a chance and wait until two weeks before I have to head back to LOS and they always offer hot-fare specials. I love their Economy Deluxe Class seats, a lot like others business class for a fraction of the cost.

De lux class is renamed elite class now for European Hub flights. The planes have been refitted with two toilets gone in each class which means a queue.
The Economy passengers can also use the same toilets and i have seen people nearly fighting for a piss.
The rest area has gone, where you could used to stand up and stretch out for 10 minutes while snacking on peanuts and other nibbles that were laid out.
Also the elite seats are not so wide as the old De Luxe class.
The Stewardess are usually lovely... a bonus... no moody queer serving you as on BA
other than that its OK

Your right there... you wont ever catch me on a BA or Quantus flight. Even if i had a moan about EVA it still beats BA. hand down.
I use Thai, EVA or Cathay for most Asian flights although i have an Emirates flight in a few weeks time ..EVA was fully booked for BKK Easter...

EVA Singapore to Bkk was no problem, but LA to Singapore was a whole another story. Lets just say I thought some of the passengers missed their cargo container back to the mainland. I guess I'll spend a little more and use business class next time. It was $820 with tax last time.

shit, thats bad. I never had a bag lost with EVA so far .
They do overbook though so the short straw has to be drawn on about one in 10 flights and usually at easter or xmas..... They normally ask for volunteers to drop out in a paid Hotel for the night with the bait of several hundred bahts to fritter away in a coffee shop. I said add a few zeros to the offer and i might consider it..
Only ever lost my baggage once on Air France on route to Paris from LAX... i think they have a hatch that opens over the Atlantic and anything with a UK sticker on is dropped into the sea..
