I have a question and a statement concerning this minimum bin of 500 plus the 600 barfine to take out a girl from C&D. But first let me begin by saying that I have not read the entire thread. I have no desire to read 7 pages concerning this matter. So if anyone wants to flame me for not reading it all, so be it.

To begin with, I really would like to come to Phuket on my next annual trip to LOS and my desire to do so is because of the beautiful ladies of C&D. However, I am not a heavy drinker. I detest the taste and smell of beer. I visit several bars everynight during my 2 month trips and in each one I usually have one mixed drink (CC & coke or Jim Beam& coke etc) and if I have a lady sitting with me I will buy her a drink. If I indulge in a second drink it is usually a coke or orange juice. That would probably be a bin of approx. 200 to 300 baht and if I took a lady from the bar I would probably pay another 500 to 600 baht of which the bar would probably get at least half of that. So, I would probably be paying approx 400 to 700 baht to the bar for my drinks and the barfine.

If I went to C&D for 6 nights and each night spent approx 400 to 700 baht to the bar, the bar would realize approx 2400 to 3500 baht from me for the 6 day period. It would seem to me that a bar owner would be stupid to turn me away because I did not meet the 500 baht drink requirement.

Would I be welcome at C&D considering the above scenario?

Just realized in reading my post that I would actually be spending from 800 to 900 baht to the bar each night for a total of from 4800 to 5400 baht to the bar each night which would be even crazier to refuse me service for not reaching the 500 bin requirement.

Thanks Pacman. I read the 1st 2 pages and the last two pages and when I
read the last 2 pages and people were still complaining, I just assumed that the policy had not changed. You know the old saying, " when you assume you make and ass out of you and me". I guess that I will just have to give my ass to Sonya or Bombay or Waas or all of them. I can't wait for May 2010 to roll around.

iwe met a LOT of BM`s both in C&D but also in the others venues of LOS, and i think that under 1% had a barbill less than 500  lets face it...most BM`s are another kind of costumers than the rest...we socialise more,and we seems to like the atmosphare in the bars,we dont just get in,barfine a girl,and rush off to the shagging-pads...

iwe just returned from 24 days in C&D,and i was there when he put up the sign,but i never saw it "in use"...  to mee it seems its a kind of "tool" they can use WHEN they want to enforce...and not a second before,its just as when the indian "tourists" are comming  into the bar,then his staff is quick to present them with the drinks-card...and it works almost every time...they rush out the door...

i THINK that iam quite close to the thruth regards the BM`s "spending-pattern" versus Jimbos idea about the sign, so let me state this...

IF a BM (with more than 100 posts) can show evidence that they were billed up to the 500 baht before they could barfine the girl in C&D...then I`ll fucking pay them myself  

its just like the old joke....just because you have a dick...it dont means that youre a rapist  and this is like I see the sign...as a tool...a tool to keep the place nice for us who actually LIKE the girls.

Yes, C&D is a business and they have been able to get through the tough times that other bars could not. If they want to experiment with a policy that affects a minority of customers - they'll see if it works or not. I personally don't think this is an "offensive" policy but clearly some of you feel otherwise.

I would like to wish continued success to C&D and yes, that includes making some $$$!  

Come off it rxpharm, you are always with the same girls and they are PO., i doubt this would affect you as you wont be bar fining anyone.

I am one of the blokes that sometimes walks in and just bar fines (the flash). im not tight and will spend money when i wish. but this basically just says I dont go in the bar i go to tequila bar all the time when in phuket. ozzie stuart and the others have it right, its not a money issue, its a dictation issue.
ps never been in a restaurant with minimum price, would be same issue and walk right out the door

I think foxee is spot on tho - it's a get out clause when some git continually takes ladies without.

Let's face it - if it was worded barfine is say 800 but if you buy 3 or more drinks the barfine will drop to 400, which is more appealing?

The current option is better as it gives staff discretion and I'm sure jumbo would never enforce the issue if he knows you.

I agree... they are real nuisance. I was sitting next to three in K3 a while ago and they drove me bonkers. On bottle of beer between three of them and they were either drugged up or just raving mad.. or both.

The LBs paid no attention to them as it was obvious they hadnt got three shillings between them and it was a relief all around when they fucked off

This remind me of posts about a mamasan in a popular bar in Pattaya who according to some posters on the board is harassing customers to buy drinks. I often went to this bar and even if I am not a heavy drinker all I got from the same mamasan is "thank you very much and hope to see you again".

I like to go to C&D in fact I go there on every trips. I go there to have some fun without pressure and get that at C&D with the freindly girls and staffs. Like I said before I not an heavy drinker but I buy ladydrinks for the girls even if they are not the one I will go out with so I will never have any problem to go over 500b.

No one is forced to go to C&D there is plenty of ladyboys crusing on Bangla for you to have and you don't even have to pay a bar fine. If you are short of the 500b you can also pay a drink to Jimbo to help you!

I will still go to C&D to enjoy myself with those great girls and I think they should inforce that on other venus like the one in Pattaya who is a small bar who  experience the problem from punters who go there to sip a bottle of water all night long gropping the girls who they don't intend to barfine.

this may be a little off topic but regards to indians.Aussie racicst have been bashing and stabbing indians latley.
Case one was 4 indians in Harris park( suburb near Parramatta in sydneys west), gobbed off to some lebo( lebanese) boys who battered them.
case two, indian guy set fire to by thugs. turned out the cops said he was trying to burn his car for insurance before he went back to india.hes now in gaol
case 3 indian guy set alight and killed near Griffith central west Nsw murdered by his mate and her wife who , yep you guessed it, were indian.
Makes you wonder, 1000s of students from all round the world come to australia for education, and have no problems at all.
