PROSTITUTION, what prostitution?!?! is it legal in thailand anyway?
will be revisiting nex week as i've never seen a better or indeed as good anywhere else!

Disagree on BF's - GoGo bars are 500 Up. A beer bar is normally 300 GG/LB.

Sign re prostitution - some bar's staff had to recently attend a seminar at Banglamung re bar requirements.

As a result a  few new signs have now surfaced. No Smoking, No Drugs etc etc - some in Thai and some in both English and Thai. I saw the sign in Kitten club and assumed the same - bars are smart to disassociate themselves from prostitution because "yes" it is illegal.

A BF is paid to compensate the bar for taking an employee away from their place of work - nothing more.

Anything over and above that is not the concern of the bar - it is up to you!

I still think Kitten/Obsession has something to offer - I would rather see a spectrum of venues than just the same old format repeated a thousand times.

i found the staff quality to be of a very high calibre indeed (glad we don't all like the same)

and there was a very full house.

to para phrase i will return as soon as i have earnt a crust and pattaya obsessions will be my first call (i have really been in some grotty joints previously and was well impressed with what is on offer)

I'm sure that some are intimedated by what the new Obsessions in Pattaya has to offer and may well force they themselves to improve their standards. As most will know, neither Bangkok nor Pattaya is exactly overjoyed with customers at the present times and I think that any new club (Pattaya Obsessions) will be sorely tested. But yes, I believe they do have deep pockets and further believe they may have full backing of the Penthouse Hotel which set the standard for others to follow some years ago, mayby 15 years?
I had a good time and cannot off-hand think of what they could or indeed should do to attract customers.
Give 'em a break!

Yes, if we would have more clubs of the quality of Pattaya Obsessions, I would just have to try to find even more money to come to Thailand even more often.

pattaya obsessions not lasting sounds a little like wishful thinking, is the writer associated with some of competition i wonder?

i believe their backers may well be penthouse hotel group who have been around pattaya for some 20 yrs

don't expect their closure too soon as, it seems whatever they do, they do it right and hey, lets have a bit more choice for us all to enjoy.

There were lots of Ladyboys there, many more than the GG's by about 2-1 but the quality was a very mixed bag.

The place is very loud and crowded and the barfines are very high for anywhere in BKK, let alone Pattaya. Ranging from 600 to 1000 depending on who and when you take somebody with an odd sign about in Thailand its against the law to prostitute etc...  

About 5 customers were there including us at about midnight.  I doubt this place will float as is unless the owner has deep pockets and doesnt mind.

BTW, still only the left side was open but lots of construction bags etc outside.

Totall disagree, and I checked it out last evening (Tuesday). The ratio was more like 3 to 1 in favor of the LB's, perhaps our writer cannot tell the difference?
I have been a punter for some 15 years, and can honestly say hand on heart that I have rarely seen such a good crowd of beauties, and so well turned out, someone is doing their job right! I think those negative comments are totally misplaced and I wonder for what reason.
Its a swanky place and a real plus for Pattaya. I know a far less deserving places that seem to be doing ok and this place should flourish, count me in.

The bar fine is 600 baht and this applies to any of the dancers. I doesn't vary and never changes. There are NO 'up front' charges.

The short time rooms are 400 baht. They probably expect 1,500 short time or 2,000 long time.

If you don't like the prices then don't go in.

I know one guy who hung around for 30 mins before deciding and guess what - his choice was BF'd - early bird catches the worm or cock!

Will be visiting later this week to see how it is progressing.....

The owner was very clear about the charges for the barfine... it's 600 baht no matter what time of day you go... (but just to be extra double sure - I'll check again!)

The barfine has been confirmed to be 600 baht at any time.

If you are charged more then you are being conned.

Overcharging is NOT the policy of the bar and they would very much like to hear about it if you are in any way mischarged or otherwise short-diddled!

That "service" is a tragedy waiting to happen for some poor tourist. The road to Pattaya is so bumpy, and there are so many bridges on that motorway, it's only a matter of time before someone playing host bites off more than they can chew.

P.S. What do they mean by ++? As prostitution is illegal (but condoned) in Thailand, they can't charge VAT for the services provided.

Clearly, the owners of Penthouse and Pattaya Obsessions are trying to milk the tourists for all they're worth. They may succeed as there's no shortage of gullible fools in Pattaya.

I don't blame the bar owners for trying to get more buck for their bang, but I shall avoid the place. From a customer's point of view, I don't want Bangkok prices and attitudes in Pattaya and I hope the concept fails.

The promotion is well written - you are only paying for a personalised limo service with attendant LB's. There is no declaration of sexual services.

Written this way it is not promoting prostitution which is illegal and not condoned in Thailand - just tolerated.

So advertising this service as a transport service they can charge Tax.

Would I pay for such a service - no way BUT some tourist might - a fool and his money are easily parted.
