It seemed to me they were pretty darn good and spoke pretty well.
For Miss International Queen, it was the extreme opposite. It was fixed so the worst girl won and the Thai girl didn't win. In that case, I'm very much against the 'fix' ! In this case, I think it ain't so bad.
"Fixing" it so the best 3 win is not so bad if you think about it (granted, I know the moral unfairness of it all).

Well i did think about it Ziggy and it still seems pretty unfair to the other contestants. Mind you , life isnt fair is it...its just a bit more unfair in some places than others
TC you are right, but if you talk so some of the participants in the contest, you get a different perspective. For example, I know Nam, a performer at Alcazar. She told me that she had no expectation of winning, she wanted to have "fun" and to see how far she could go. She told me that most contestants expected "Film" to win. It was nice that she was able to win that terribly named Ripley's Most Beautiful WoMan.
As to the reason for the fix - it might be one way Tiffany's can be absolutely sure no "go-go girl" or escort wins the title, since it is possible to do a thorough background check of the "locked" candidate. This is a lot less costly than doing a complete background check on the 30 candidates who make it into the finals night.
I am not saying this is right, but certainly it fits the TIT philosophy.
