7.7 Earthquake hits Bangkok high rise collapses

A 7.7 earthquake eminating from Myanmar struck Bangkok. A highrise under construction collapse and rooftop pools were leaking all over town.

Hey guys,
I arrived in Bangkok yesterday without knowing anything about the earthquake. All the train lines were closed, and the streets were jammed with heavy traffic; many people were walking or trying to take a bus to get home. I had to walk for about two hours to get to my hotel on Sukhumvit 5 because getting a taxi was almost impossible. I tried the Grab app, but it wasn't working at the time, I guess because of the chaos. I have to say it was a little scary for a moment, wondering what I was doing here 😂. Today I feel more comfortable because I spent the night with Toto from Why Not Bar, but that's a story I'll tell when my trip is over.

hahaha.Most of my tourists this time had experienced the massive earthquake in Sichuan Province in 2008. They were all from Sichuan. So they didn't panic but calmly stated that an earthquake had occurred.

Chinese contractors now being investigated for corruption and using faulty materials to build this highrise. It was their first contract in Thailand and the only building to collpase in Bangkok.
