Yes I had just posted about this:

I have taken them to Thailand up and to including this February with no problem.

Any type of battery is not supposed to be in checked baggage, in some places like Korea.
So I always take them in my bag on board.
However were you to be searched at customs they could confiscate it.
You could probably take some juice in a plain container and buy one at the market or something.
They seem to still sell bongs and vapes on the street and in some shops.

Ask yourself why the Thai government would ban vapes and not tobacco products. The tobacco lobby probably bribed the politicians to do so. Bet you those Marlboros don't taste like back home. They substitute cheap tobacco to boost their profits. The Philippines Marboros taste like sheet. Had to buy black market Marlboros for twice the price back in the 70's. Thailand is a CORRUPT country like all the SE Asian countries around them. Would be interesting to travel to Singapore to see if they deserve the label as number 2 or 3 as most uncorrupt country in the world. Too bad the gay boys were banned in an effort to modernize. They used to be better than Thailand and were the most talked about people as being more beautiful than girls.
