(bigmick22 @ Apr. 14 2009,21:16) the ritual of reading the Sunday newspaper just isn't the same online

nothing like unfolding it across the table in your kitchen or local cafe and digging in for the afternoon
Just saw this thread. A friend who lives in Pattaya uses this service for the Sunday New York Times.

Printed and delivered to him. I'm sure there is a similar service in Bangkok somewhere.

I'd like a good bookstore and camera shop.

Aren't these they same they sell at newsstands? I saw them in BKK. Not the real thing though but digital copies printed on regular white paper. Not the same feeling but perhaps the best one can get.

180 Baht or more than 3 Euro for a paper from back home. Guess that's per paper. Well, at that price I might resort to reading it online and but the local English paper for the unfolding effect ...

But a good business idea nevertheless ...

No, I don't think so. At least the two that I saw (Sunday papers from Toronto and NY). They seemed bigger (although i have not bought a European paper in Thailand).

In Pattaya, the office is off of Soi Buakao, on a side soi not far from where Soi Diana Inn meets Soi Buakao. That is where they are printed. You can check out samples there.

They are costly because they are not pirated. They print them with a license-fee per copy to the publisher.
