Has anyone tried the Rosetta Stone series for Thai? I just bought it and like it, but the starting sections use vocabulary that is not so immediately useful. One has to stick with it a while to get to a point where you can say something worthwhile.

Stogie, I shamefully know just what you mean, about learning languages! It's like this very bad habit I pretend to care about, and secretly am just lazy about inside. No excuses

I've lived in Germany, France, Poland, Israel - and a shakey please and thank you, plus a few words dropped in here and there, is the best I have ever managed.

THIS time I will do it, though! ha - I am going to STUDY this language course!

Thanks Stogie for including this I downloaded all of this and will be studying for my upcoming trip to LOS. I know what you mean about being lazy as I grew up in the southwest part of the US and never learned spanish my Dad, my sister and even my little nephews speakit fluently, I travel to SA, and the carribean frequently and bought Rosetta stone and didn't even put the DVD;s in my PC for a year now I am studying and finally can converse a little but I have a long way to go. Anyway thanks for the lessons and I will diligently study if for nothing else respect for my future host, thanks again.
