Furnished. Although I had to buy things like sheets, doona, pillows, toaster, kettle, microwave, towels etc

Don't see why you would make an investment to buy your own furniture unless you were staying here for a while. I will buy a few little things to make the place more homely but other than that I will stick to what I have.

Don't live in Thailand yet. Trying to devise a plan to retire there when I am around mid 50's - still a few years to go!

He's probably trying to flog airconditioning  - business must be slow

            RR.

PS.  Herself's appartment was partly furnished when she bought it and she brought a few things of her own like TV, washing machine and a few bits of furniture.

The two she rented previously were poorly furnished.  She got some extra items off the company that owned the apartment building and left them in place when she moved.

Bugger! I keep getting the pair of them confused!

I can never remember names - but if I ever get to see their faces I won't forget

You got that right! They are as different as two peas that are not only from seperate pods but were raised differently too.

Somehow renting furnished doesn't seem to be 'all yours' if you get my meaning. As stuff is so cheap here I'll probably leave most of my stuff behind when I move and start over. I've had all of this stuff now for a few years so it will be nice to start over.
