    Sunday brunch in Bangkok

Has anybody of you a good recommendation for a Sunday brunch in Bangkok?

Next time i will spend Sunday there and would like to enjoy a fine brunch. I heard from Sheraton, Traders Vic, Four seasons hotel, Sukhothai, ...
But i am not really sure which one i should try.
Thank you for any good recommendation.

Wasn't sure whether it was food you were after when I first saw the thread
I always enjoy the food and view at Gullivers be it Sunday or anyday.

I would imagine your choice of where your staying will influence where you go for the brunch, unless you kinda like sitting for an hour each way in a taxi. So if your in Sukhumvit, the Sheraton Grande would be an obvious choice or the Four Seasons. Sukothai is considered as avery good brunch but to be honest, I think they are all a total rip-off. Lets face it, its hardly any different from the regular buffets you find in these 5* hotels, yet amazingly the price seems to double because its Sunday and quadruple what they would charge for the regular breakfast buffet.

      Cheers

JW Mariott has one of the best Sunsay Brunches
Also good are the Sheration, The Westin, Conrad, and the Plaza Anthene (on wireless)

If I had to pick one, it would by JW Mariott

If money was not a factor then I would go to the Sunday Brunch at the Oriental Hotel. Sure, the selections might be the same as some of the other 5*Star Hotels but it's the Oriental Hotel with all the history that goes with it. Plus the view of the Chao Phrya River is an added bonus. I did this in 1999 and it still readily comes to mind as one of the best things I ever spent my money on in Bangkok.

For me the best sundays are the Marriott on the river, all you can eat and drink for a fixed price, Shangrila is also ok as is the Sheraton Sukhumvit, as for bars, either dubliner or black swan for me.

              Thanks all for the recommendations,
i think i will try the Sheraton Sukhumit. I know it already from the daily lunch buffet. As i will stay at Majestic suites an advantage there is the live jazz music on Sundays.

Back in the scene after a couple of years away. And no that does not mean I was residing at her majesty's pleasure. God it is good to be back among the girls with that bit extra!

The Sukothai's brunch is known as the best.

The only thing I dont like about Sukhothai is the location...sure its only a taxi away from Sukhumvit, but I like to stay within a few feet of the Skytrain...so for me the JW Marriott gets the nod.

I agree. But we are talking about Sunday brunch and on that day the traffic is not so bad.
