3 years ago living in VN I had a well known LB from Khorat and a Phuket regular who would stay with me for 3-4 weeks, go home and return for another stint.
She hit me for the "bride price" of 40,000 USD and got pissed when i asked if for that price she came with a Toyota Vigo and a week on Samui. It was, as they say, the turning point.
Yes its purely bullshit for trapping gulible falangs. I cannot think of any ladyboy who would ever expect sim sod from a Thai... sorry to say and its not a nice thought but realistically LB's are not particularly marriageable in a small Isaan village.
Mrs F's family treat me with great love and respect, send little presents and are good to get hammered with. All in all ideal outlaws. And they have far too much self respect and face in the village to pull such a scam.
