        So... you're saying you wouldn't consider it the 'champagne' of beers?

        Or, would you?

            (jadeite @ Jul. 23 2010,08:14) Newbie tip: Do you know the Thai word for Singha has no second syllable? It's name is simply Sing.
            Good tip here.....and actually I can't believe how may veterans I know who still order a "Sing-ha''  when they go out, they should know better.

             I prefer Chang myself when in the land of ladyboys.....and by the way, that is a soft A and should never be pronounced as CHANG, rhyming with the word Pang or Fang, etc......very strong beer and gets you buzzed after just 2 or 3, tastes good also!

            From the web;
            ''Chang Beer

            Chang Beer- Now this is what I call beer, weighing in at 6.4 percent alcohol it's nice and strong. The can shows 2 elephants but the colors look a little bit cheap. The color of the beer itself is a bit darker than usual what probably explains the bitterness and strong taste. The get drunk quick factor combined with their low prices has made Chang one of the most popular beers in Thailand. In high class bars people frown upon it though so it won't be sold in there but the criteria here was 7-Eleven availability.

            Look: Elephants, fun!

            Price: Cheap!

            Taste: Strong and bitter

            Status: Bad

            Alcohol: 6.4%

            In Thai: Bia Chaaang''
