Wii prices in Thailand...

A Wii game player in Robinsons costs about 27,000 baht but my local games shop sells one for 9,700 baht!

What's going on?

(I want to buy one for Olay as she likes the Super Mario stuff.)

Could the cheaper one be a (Chinese) rip-off?

I'm pretty sure a friend of mine while in China bought one in that lower price range.

Difference is too big 4 any other explanation ...

Well - I have the answer... so I'll be off doon toon to MBK next week to get one!

They are about 8,000 baht and they are 'chipped' imports from either Malaysia, China or Japan.

Games for 50 baht... can't go wrong!

At that price difference you can't go much wrong.

ask to explain the diff between usa and jap version

they can explain better, but some games work better on one than the other.

I think the cheaper versions are Chinese Copies. Its on U Tube
