Some Tuk Com Computer Shops Closed Today

Quite a few of the computer shops in Tuk Com were closed today. The word out was that it was due to Windows copyright issues.

Even some of the 'Kingston' thumb drives sold in TukCom are fakes. I bought one! Kingston told me to take it back and get a refund. Who are they kidding?

No the laptop is from the States.

But the shop that is repairing it was closed.

My computer is all torn apart but what's scary is other computers seem to be in the same condition (nothing to do with Windows copyright).

I think the guy has given up but he doesn't want to admit he cant fix it.

Think i picked the wrong repairman.

He gave me a free loaner which I'm using now.

But all the prompts are in German so I have to guess at stuff.

Look at it this way....    

If you buy a copy of Windows Turd Vista in Oz it costs say AUS$120 and it doesn't work.

OK it still doesn't work if you buy it in Thailand but it only costs you 300 Baht.


Even if you pay buy the official version you still get the same messages telling you it's an unregistered copy and they still try to stiff you for more money to contact their support services.

Very true.

I've lost the urge to want to upgrade these days.
My pc runs xp and it's fine for what I do.
My laptop runs vista- I don't mind it but cant be assed with it on my pc.
My netbook runs windows 7. Again good but I can't see much need to buy that for my pc either.

In short I'm happy as they are and the only thing I like getting is the 1tb external drives. Great value for around $100aud.
