Uk TV streaming on your computer for free.

This works really well for those of you who dont have uk tv /3 satellite dishes in your garden etc.

lots of stations, bbc's , itv,s film four etc and some movie / sports channels - great for snooker fans at the minute!

not spam - this works.

"I´ve been using a great little application to stream UK TV recently.
I have uploaded a version of it so others can try it.

First go to VLC website and download and install VLC

Once installed go to this site and download the zip file:

Unpack it on your desktop - its a small playlist file containing lots of UK and other Channels
If you get stuck unpacking this for any reason then download this program 7 Zip

To watch TV simply drag and drop the small file onto VLC media player icon on your desktop

VLC will automatically open and begin streaming BBC 1

To change channels, select "view" and then "playlist" and pick whichever channel you want.

Sorry mate, was distracted by a phone call - I meant the VLC wasn't working (says not for Mac).

I'll sniff around and get a Mac-compliant effort and try again... hope you're well!

I'm fine, mate... It's been a year since we had roof top beers, right?  

Anyway - it should work with most media players which support this kind of playlist format... although I don't think Macs are very friendly with flash based videos...

iTunes will probably work.

I got a version of VLC that works but when I add that zipped file into it, the VLC closes down every time. Any ideas?

hey mate - I'm in Pattaya now where I have an I-Mac in the villa. Tried it here and it does work, albeit sporadically. The LQ ones are OK in general but the HQ ones... forget it. I just get a frozen picture.
